Chapter 18 - Chapter 15: Bestowal

Fu Qingjun felt there was never an issue of forgiveness.

Because he never cared, why talk about forgiveness?

Perhaps this was just a difference in mindset.

The ants were terrified, thinking they would be punished for speaking ill of humans. But who would care about the offenses of ants?

Moreover, he didn't really care about the title "Amiro" or "Hermes," so there was naturally no offense... whereas Jiaxia pretended to be this "Jiaxia" god and diligently helped with farming, Fu Qingjun was actually quite pleased.

After all, how could he, a giant, manage the ant cultivation on the table?

"But since you are so proactive, I'll seize the opportunity to brew some wine..." Fu Qingjun murmured in his heart.

He felt slightly guilty, but life was demanding. It's his third day in this world, and he's been supporting them for three days now; it's time to think of ways to earn some money.

Otherwise, how would he support all these old and young ones?

This was a very real problem. Even while staying in, they still needed to eat, drink, and sustain themselves.

Fu Qingjun pointed out the technology for raising ants, although he had high hopes for the future of the Ant Kingdom and the Sunflower Dynasty which developed in just two days... it's time to consider recouping the costs.

The main issue was that he had truly become impoverished!

Despite having a huge appetite and eating plain rice every meal, the savings of the previous owner seemed like they would last only about half a month...

Maybe not even that long.

Continuing to eat plain rice for a few more days might render him completely weak, leaving him with no energy. He's eating for them, but by then he might not even have the strength to spur their minds, not a drop of brain juice would be left.

"The three divine trials!"

At this moment, Jiaxia gazed at the vast, indistinct white vortex existence. It appeared briefly and bestow three significant trial treasures upon the barren land.

Jiaxia was utterly thrilled, knowing he had reached the limit realm. Even though he established his own cultivation system based on Martial Dao, the Sun Holy Scripture, he still divided it into three realms, and was stuck at the second realm without further progress, hoping to rely on...

"Eat from the platter, fill the belly."

"Grind the body in the Hottest Sand City."

"Cross the scorching sea, swim to the other shore."

A faint voice sounded from the sky.

Jiaxia trembled all over, looking toward that piece of land. He resolutely led his people to climb it and consume the herbs.

The herbs were bitter.

Yet they persisted through the hardship, forcing themselves to swallow.

As the nourishing herbs mixed with medicinal liquid entered their stomachs, Jiaxia vaguely felt his dried-up body was being moisturized, like soaking in a clear spring.

"This is the holy substance imparting life!"

He was overjoyed beyond measure.

After all, ant wine itself was highly nourishing, naturally paired with nourishing herbs as raw materials for brewing. Ants naturally had to ingest them beforehand to be called medicinal ants.

After striving to eat to his fill, he was full of anticipation,

"The gods haven't abandoned the creatures on the ground!"

He quickly led the ants towards the Hot Sand City, where the boiling sands mixed with herbs covered the entire land, like burning in a Molten Rock Hell, tempering their shells.

Even though countless ants had already tempered their bodies here, some fell, submerged in the sea of gravel.

Yet he persevered.

Walking through the Hot Sand City, his whole body was scalded and burning, feeling comfortable like a sauna, as if all his meridians were cleared and flowing freely!

"This is not a trial; this is a blessing from god bestowed through the test of wisdom!"

Boom!

Plunging into the hot sea, steam rose from his scalding body as it hit the cold water.

An amazing event occurred.

That hot sea appeared to be exceedingly cold, but soaking in it, the unimaginable spiciness made his whole body feel as though it was on fire.

"What is this wondrous trio of treasures!"

His heart was utterly shaken as he swam through the vast hot sea.

Woosh!

In this hot sea, many robust ants remained submerged, forever sinking into the depths.

He emerged from the hot sea water, droplets falling from his muscular body as he looked at those fallen comrades, "Unable to persist, they can only self-destruct."

Having experienced countless iterations of civilization eras, he naturally knew that those fallen comrades were mostly unfit.

"And I feel like my bottleneck is subtly loosening." He sensed that after enduring the three trials, his entire body underwent an incredible transformation with countless benefits.

He was immensely excited, looking down at his people, he said: "Every new life, in every era upon arriving in this world, must cleanse themselves of sins. This is a sacred ceremony..."

"During the baptismal process, comrades who fall are carried forward by you, thrown into the final hot sea. Even if they fall along the way, may they completely cleanse their original sins, that... is their destiny."

Fu Qingjun paused for a moment.

He originally thought that when ants fell in the hot sand, it would be a hassle to throw them into the white wine later... But he didn't expect them to plan to voluntarily take the white wine pond as a grave.

"This is already a perfect wine production line."

Fu Qingjun took out his notebook labeled "Desk Biology Experiment Circle No. 01," thought for a moment, crossed out the title, and changed it to "Desk Civilization Medicinal Wine Automated Production Line No. 01." He then began to record this trial's data:

"They eat very heartily, seemingly because of the sevenfold sensation, plus martial artists have excellent appetites, and the herb digestion speed is also fast."

"They stir-fry themselves quite evenly, where it's hot, they change places..."

"Mastering the temperature is indeed most suitable for themselves."

He sat at the table, thought for a moment, and picked up the pen to write again,

"They even volunteered to jump into the white wine at the end, the entire process meticulously calculated without requiring me to do anything myself... This way, every era, I just need to replace the raw materials of the three trials to automatically obtain ant medicinal wine."

Fu Qingjun seriously pondered as he wrote and sketched in his notebook.

"And what I need to do next is continually replenish the ant population... to find new ant species." He thought for a moment, furrowed his brow again:

"No, that's not how it is."

"I don't need to think for them at all. They are a civilized nation on the desk; if the population diminishes, they will naturally replenish their own population."

Fu Qingjun realized he didn't need to do anything, just providing sufficient food for them to propagate their population was sufficient.

At that moment, countless ant citizens completed another cycle, even if reincarnated across several eras, many still fell.

Even those who survived were ardent and feverish, panting heavily, collapsing on the ground.

It seemed too much to drain their energy and soul, this time their spirit perished faster than before, the tenth era came to an end.

"Generations of new souls perish, generations of heroic spirits gather in one body, not knowing what they will become in the future."

Jiaxia took a deep breath, looking at the ants that were once again lost, he had his descendants return to the coffin, then shouted towards the sky:

"Great ancient Wisdom God, having passed the ancient trials, would you forgive me for pretending to be you?"

He knew, devoid of any features, formless and intangible, the deity with only a voice was the God of Wisdom.
