After the official start of the semester, there's actually not much happening at the class meetings. The student council comes to take attendance, and the class monitor or other class officials say a few things, and that's it.
The entertainment committee member of Xu Lin's class is Zhao Liangchen, because the freshman party is happening this Friday.
It's a party every cohort has.
So Zhao Liangchen is calling on everyone to sign up for performances tonight.
Xu Lin isn't interested in the gala, but Zhao Liangchen still comes over to ask if he wants to sing.
