Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Dual Rare Attribute Guardian Beast

Chu Chen stared at the attribute panel of the Fire Pattern Cat, lost in thought. He wasn't quite clear on what each of these six-dimensional talents specifically represented.

However, the Slaughter Atlas seemed to sense this and unexpectedly provided explanations at the end of the attribute column.

Power Talent determines the upper limit of the Guardian Beast's power growth, and power also signifies attack power.

Defense Talent determines the upper limit of the Guardian Beast's defense growth, and defense can be divided into physical level and Star Power level.

Agility Talent determines the upper limit of the Guardian Beast's speed and reaction speed growth.

Physical Talent determines the upper limit of the Guardian Beast's stamina and recovery ability.

Spiritual Talent determines the upper limit of the Guardian Beast's spiritual power and recovery speed growth.

Star Power Talent determines the Guardian Beast's cultivation speed and Star Power recovery speed.

As for the ordinary level and Entry Realm behind the skills, they respectively represent the skill level and skill proficiency level.

Skill levels can be divided into: Ordinary Level, Elite Level, Excellence Level, Perfect Level, Epic Level, Immortal Level, Legendary Level, Mythical Level.

Skill proficiency levels can be divided into: Entry Realm, Skilled Realm, Mastery Realm, Minor Achievement Realm, Great Success Realm, Perfection Realm.

Below the attribute panel are the words "Evolution Formula," but these words are dim, and the area behind them is blank.

Chu Chen's curiosity was immediately piqued when he saw this. As the name suggests, this Evolution Formula is a method to let the Fire Pattern Cat evolve.

Thinking of this made Chu Chen's heart pound wildly, as he knew exactly what this meant.

For example, for himself, the quality limit of the contracted Guardian Beast is now at the Elite Level. If he breaks through to the Soul Master Realm, the current contracted Guardian Beast's help to him would be minimal. However, if he lets the Guardian Beast evolve continuously, his future achievements would be limitless.

Of course, Breeders can also use some special methods to let Guardian Beasts evolve, but the success rate is only about thirty to forty percent, and the cost of evolution is not something ordinary people can bear.

Chu Chen focused his awareness on the Evolution Formula, trying to pry into the full picture of the formula.

At this moment, a dialog box suddenly appeared before his eyes, with the words "Insufficient Slaughter Value" written inside.

Upon seeing this, Chu Chen did not feel disappointed; instead, he showed a look of delight. He finally understood the use of the Slaughter Value and was also sure that the Evolution Formula could be unlocked.

"Hey, son, are you okay?" Father Chu asked worriedly, seeing Chu Chen suddenly chuckle foolishly.

"Ah, it's nothing. This Fire Pattern Cat is really cute," Chu Chen found an excuse to brush it off.

"Do you want to contract the Fire Pattern Cat?" Mrs. Chu tentatively asked.

Chu Chen shook his head and said, "Let's have a look around first." With that, he turned his gaze elsewhere.

With the attribute panel, Chu Chen naturally wouldn't contract the Fire Pattern Cat. Although its quality reached Elite Level Upper Grade, its growth potential wasn't considered high.

The change in the Slaughter Atlas had given Chu Chen a rough idea of the outline for contracting his first Guardian Beast.

To gain Slaughter Value, slaughter was necessary, so he needed to contract a Guardian Beast with strong combat power.

Guardian Beasts can be roughly divided into five major categories: Strong Attack Type, Agile Attack Type, Control Type, Defense Type, and Support Type. These five types have many specific divisions, just like Support Type, which can be divided into Functional Support, Healing Support, Status Support, etc.

The most ideal target for Chu Chen's contract was a Strong Attack Type or Agile Attack Type Guardian Beast. These two types of Guardian Beasts have extremely strong lethality, making it relatively easier to acquire Slaughter Value.

With a target in mind, Chu Chen's speed of selecting Guardian Beasts significantly increased.

In just half an hour, he had thoroughly reviewed the Guardian Beasts in the five element regions: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.

Seeing this, Li Wei smiled and said, "You've finished looking at all the Guardian Beasts in the Five Elements Region. Do you have a satisfactory target?"

Chu Chen nodded, "There are a few Guardian Beasts that are pretty good, but I want to check out other regions too."

Hearing this, Li Wei smiled and replied, "The remaining regions have Guardian Beasts with rare attributes, which are more expensive and might exceed your budget."

Aside from the Five Elements attributes, all other attributes are considered rare attributes. Besides their rarity in quantity, their characteristics and power are also higher than those of the Five Elements attributes of the same level, which is why their price is higher.

Upon hearing this, Father Chu couldn't help but frown, as the price of Guardian Beasts in rare regions exceeded his affordability.

Seeing this, Mrs. Chu smiled and said, "Let's take a look at the rare attribute region. We still have student loans that we haven't used yet..."

Before Mrs. Chu could finish, Chu Chen interrupted, "No, I want to go to the Elite Level Middle Grade or Lower Grade region."

Li Wei was taken aback but quickly reacted and immediately continued to lead the way.

Father Chu and Mrs. Chu exchanged a glance but did not stop him.

They believed their son could make the right choice.

Chu Chen's reasoning was simple: he didn't want to burden his parents too much.

The price of a rare attribute Elite Level Upper Grade Guardian Beast is around five hundred thousand. A loan of ten to twenty thousand would require the Chu Family to live frugally for several years to repay, and this time might even extend as he still needed to cultivate his Guardian Beast later on.

Of course, he wouldn't gamble with his future. With the Slaughter Atlas, once the Evolution Formula is unlocked, enhancing the Guardian Beast's quality wouldn't be difficult.

Soon, the group of four reached their destination, and Chu Chen didn't dare delay. He quickly used the Slaughter Atlas to check the information of these Guardian Beasts, as the number of people coming to buy Guardian Beasts had already reached around two hundred, with this number rapidly increasing.

About a quarter of an hour later, Chu Chen discovered an interesting Guardian Beast in the thunder region. It resembled a monkey, stood about half a meter tall, with a body length of up to seventy centimeters, and could reach up to one and a half meters when standing upright. Its fur was silver-gray, but its palms and the hair between its brows were blue, and its brown-yellow eyes lazily scanned its surroundings as if patrolling its territory.

From its displayed state, this area seemed to have no rivals.

Thinking of this, Chu Chen quickly used the Slaughter Atlas to check the monkey's information.

Star Beast Name: Thunder Ape

Life Level: Juvenile Stage

Star Beast Quality: Elite Level (Middle Grade)

Star Beast Talent: Frenzy, F-level (Enters a frenzied state upon becoming enraged, increasing power, speed, and defense by twenty percent, with doubled stamina consumption and decreased rationality.)

Star Beast Level: Fourth Rank Slave Level

Power Talent: D-level

Defense Talent: D-level

Agility Talent: D-level

Physical Talent: D-level

Spiritual Talent: D-level

Star Power Talent: D-level

Star Beast Attribute: Thunder Element, Beast Type

Star Beast Skills: Lightning Fist, (Ordinary Level, Entry Realm), Thunderbolt Fist (Entry Level, Entry Realm)

Chu Chen, upon seeing this, immediately showed a look of delight. He pointed at the ape and asked with a smile, "How much does this ape cost?"

Li Wei responded with a smile, "This ape is a Thunder Ape, a beast with dual rare attributes of Beast and Thunder. It has few rivals in the same realm and is priced relatively inexpensively at four hundred thousand."

Hearing this, Father Chu couldn't help but frown, clearly not understanding what Li Wei meant.

Chu Chen said seriously, "The Thunder Ape's talent is F-level Frenzy."

Hearing this, Father Chu frowned, clearly realizing what a volatile temperament meant. A volatile temperament indicates it's difficult for the beast to control its emotions, meaning this Thunder Ape could explode on its enemy or even injure its owner, making this flaw undoubtedly deadly.

Hearing this, Father Chu realized the situation was hopeless, so he said nothing further.

He knew the tide had turned against him, and he could not change things now.

Next, Mrs. Chu paid the fee. After a twenty percent discount, it was a total of four hundred thousand.

The next step was to establish a contract.
