Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Broken Spirit

"Lei Yao, show them your true power," Chu Chen said coldly.

At his words, Lei Yao roared once more, lifting its electricity-wrapped fists to smash down on the Thunder Ant.

The Thunder Ant, undeterred, raised its massive pincers to meet the attack head-on.

The densely packed punches fell like raindrops; the Lightning Fist at Mastery Realm could deliver five punches in an instant, each as powerful as an Entry Realm Thunderbolt Fist.

"Bang Bang Bang"

The Lightning Fist struck directly at the Thunder Ant's pincers, and even with its strength, it couldn't withstand them for the moment.

The Thunder Ant's head shook non-stop under Lei Yao's pounding, and its massive body kept retreating.

"How is this possible?"

Watching the retreating Thunder Ant, Fang Tao exclaimed in disbelief.

The onlookers were equally shocked by the power Lei Yao unleashed.

"Sister Zhou, what's going on with Lei Yao? Even going into Frenzy shouldn't produce such terrifying power, right?" Wang Yang asked in confusion.

Upon hearing this, Zhou Ying didn't answer immediately. She stroked her chin, deep in thought.

After a moment of silence, Zhou Ying seemed to realize something, her eyes filled with delight as she looked at Lei Yao.

"I think Lei Yao's Lightning Fist has reached Mastery Realm, and its talent is likely an E-level Frenzy," Zhou Ying said solemnly.

"This... this is impossible. It's only been a mere ten days since it contracted the Guardian Beast," Wang Yang said, his voice trembling slightly.

Evidently, he found it hard to accept Zhou Ying's explanation.

"Anything is possible. Lei Yao is like a genius in our human society; what's difficult for us is relatively easy for a genius. Lei Yao's ability to deliver five punches in an instant is proof of that," Zhou Ying asserted confidently.

Hearing this, Wang Yang nodded and said no more, but his gaze towards Chu Chen was filled with complexity.

After pushing back the Thunder Ant, Lei Yao didn't continue attacking. Instead, it dashed out from the corner of the ring, and in a flash, it appeared beside the Thunder Ant.

Enhanced by Frenzy, Lei Yao's speed increased significantly. Though it couldn't match the Wind and Thunder Leopard, it was much faster than the Thunder Ant.

The Thunder Ant immediately crouched to hide its vulnerable insect legs.

Seeing this, Chu Chen revealed a sneer; with the power of the Lightning Fist, there was no need to attack the Thunder Ant's weak spots.

"Roar"

Lei Yao let out another roar, raising its fists to unleash the Lightning Fist once more.

The frenzied fists smashed directly at the insect armor on the side of the Thunder Ant.

"Bang"

First punch, the Thunder Ant's body trembled but blocked the attack.

Second punch, the Thunder Ant's insect armor began to dent.

Third punch, the insect armor indented into the Thunder Ant's flesh.

Fourth punch, cracks appeared on the insect armor.

Fifth punch, a "crack" sounded, and the insect armor shattered completely.

At this moment, a twenty-centimeter diameter blood hole appeared on the side of the Thunder Ant.

The Thunder Ant let out a cry of agony as the sharp pain spread from its body.

Green insect blood gushed continuously from the blood hole, staining the previously black insect armor a bright green.

"You... you cheated, how is this possible," Fang Tao shouted hysterically, pointing at Chu Chen.

Chu Chen replied calmly, "Whether it's cheating is evident to all. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean I can't. The same words go to you: concede while you still can."

Fang Tao's face flushed red at this, the slap in the face too swift to accept, dizziness hit his mind as though he might faint in the next moment.

Just as Fang Tao was about to faint, his eyes unintentionally caught the red-eyed Lei Yao.

At this moment, he seemed to think of something, and the dizziness in his mind vanished in an instant.

"Kid, nearly fell for your trick. Your Guardian Beast is in Frenzy, but how long can it maintain this state? Once it runs out of stamina, you'll still be the one to lose," Fang Tao said with a hint of smugness.

Chu Chen's expression remained unchanged, his tone as calm as ever, "You're right, a fair point. But how long can your Thunder Ant hold on?" With that, he directed Lei Yao to start a second round of attacks.

Fang Tao wasn't lying. Lei Yao had used up most of its stamina in the recent battle, and it could only maintain its Frenzy state for one to two minutes at most.

Thus, to win, they had to achieve it swiftly.

Taking advantage of its speed, Lei Yao dashed forward again, but didn't immediately attack. Instead, it adjusted its direction, aiming for the blood hole on the Thunder Ant's side.

The Thunder Ant, experienced in countless battles, naturally wouldn't expose its weakness to its opponent. It quickly rotated its body to move the wound out of Lei Yao's attack range.

Seeing this, Chu Chen couldn't help but frown. With its size, the Thunder Ant could easily withstand several Lightning Fist attacks, and using the Lightning Fist continuously would only drain Lei Yao's stamina faster. At this rate, defeat was inevitable.

At this thought, Chu Chen's expression turned grim.

A few moments later, Chu Chen quickly lifted his head, his eyes gleaming with sharp insight.

He obviously thought of a way to deal with the Thunder Ant.

Chu Chen quickly gathered his focus, conveying his strategy to Lei Yao through their contract.

"Roar"

Lei Yao roared once again, maximizing its speed, its massive fist rushing straight for the Thunder Ant's wound.

Sensing this, the Thunder Ant dared not be careless, quickly turning its body to dodge.

At this moment, a glimmer of pride flashed in Lei Yao's eyes; it sustained its offense, its fist landing on the Thunder Ant's insect armor.

The Thunder Ant had mentally prepared to endure this blow, but when the fist landed on its armor, it felt nothing.

In its confusion, a sharp "crack" sounded in its ear, followed by a piercing pain from its insect legs.

Lei Yao's prior attack was a feint; its real target was the Thunder Ant's fragile insect legs.

Chu Chen's objective was simple, to reduce the Thunder Ant's mobility. This would make attacking its wound significantly easier.

By now, Fang Tao's face had turned extremely unpleasant. Yet, he had no intention of conceding, instead, biting his teeth and harshly commanding, "Thunder Ant, create distance and stall it for me."

Chu Chen heard this and said solemnly, "Lei Yao, attack with all your might, tear off a few more legs."

Lei Yao responded with an excited growl, putting force into its legs once more to charge at the Thunder Ant.

As time passed, the ring echoed with the Thunder Ant's cries and the continuous "crack" of breaking limbs.

By now, all three legs on the Thunder Ant's right side were broken, with half its body lying immobile on the ring, while the three legs on the left struggled desperately.

Seeing this, Chu Chen couldn't help but reveal a trace of pity. The Thunder Ant's combat will was fierce; even gravely injured, it hadn't given up. Unfortunately, it had a Beast Master who didn't value it.

"Won't you concede yet?" Chu Chen asked Fang Tao coldly.

"Dream on! Even if it dies, I won't concede," Fang Tao shouted angrily, pointing at the Thunder Ant.

As Fang Tao's words fell, the Thunder Ant, which was still struggling, suddenly stopped. The battle intent in its eyes began to fade as it struggled to turn its head towards Fang Tao.

It was met with Fang Tao's disdainful and venomous gaze and his cold, malicious words.

"What are you looking at, a Half-step War General Level yet you can't defeat a Servant Level Sixth Rank Guardian Beast. You might as well die."

Seeing such an unworthy master, the Thunder Ant's eyes lost all light; memories of everyday life with its master flooded its mind.

"Trash, you can't even learn such simple skills."

"Eat, eat, that's all you know. Is there anything else you're good for besides eating?"

"Still can't break through? If you weren't holding me back, I would have long reached the Soul Warrior Level."

"Perhaps the master never liked me; I've always been merely a tool for venting his emotions."

At this moment, the Thunder Ant finally understood, sensing a surge of deathly aura within its body as if its spirit had died.

Chu Chen couldn't help but sigh at this scene. He leaped onto the ring, quickly approaching the Thunder Ant.

Zhou Ying hurriedly tried to stop him, "Don't go over there."

Chu Chen smiled and waved his hand, indicating it was safe.

Fang Tao lit up with joy upon seeing this, quickly prompting the Thunder Ant to attack through their contract.

The Thunder Ant ignored him, remaining motionless regardless of Fang Tao's urging or cursing.

"The Thunder Ant has lost its ability to fight; I declare Chu Chen the winner," Zhou Ying announced loudly.

Fang Tao's face turned livid at this, glaring at the Thunder Ant as he coldly said, "Trash, go die," and directly severed their contract.
