Ms. Hecate let out a faint sigh.
After a long while, she said softly, "Ask away."
An Undead Beldam floated over, carrying a seemingly non-existent book of void, and gently placed it in front of Ms. Hecate. The book had no physical form, and the animated text within it seemed like black mist, or like enormous black bubbles.

Shawn just glanced at it and immediately felt an immense pain in his eyes.
Ah!
He couldn't help but let out a muffled groan, his inspiration trembling furiously, his whole body shivering and even finding it hard to remain standing. This wasn't even a Magic Book, yet merely the knowledge recorded about some existence on it made it impossible for Shawn to look directly.
