"You even offered him a cup of water… You haven't done that for me before." Scarlet huffed, crossing his arms across his chest.
Kaelith stared daggers at him before he turned to River, who stood a few feet away from them, standing close to the wall. "River… Scarlet will take you to the other servants. They will show you the quarters and teach you the rules of the palace."
"Me? Why me?" Scarlet's eyes squinted in anger.
"I'll see you… Later."
Saying that Kaelith walked out of the room, leaving the stunned Scarlet with the confused River.
Scarlet pinched the bridge of his nose; his eyes suddenly turned so cold, that even River felt shivers down his spine.
"Come with me." His voice was cold and sharp like a blade.
River scrambled behind him, afraid to annoy him.
Scarlet walked down the hallway with his hands tucked in his pockets. River noticed how the female servants were squealing at the sight of him.
