A memory within him rose. The wanderer felt the memory of the recent moment.
He thought he hesitated out of the gate when he saw the being. The being was covered head to toe in a black shroud.
In front of him too at the moment, the being was in a shroud as black and transparent as he thought he saw. And the being was going away fast from him.
Several more moments surfaced.
The boy in the brown overcoat remembered that he hesitated at the gate too, and looked up to the top of the gate. Back then, he spoke out, "This might be several leagues. Maybe even leti-leagues high. Who could make such a gate of enormous size?"
Before his statement could end, the castle shook and he turned slightly back to see that the castle had begun to float. 'It is going to fly,' he concluded and ran in after the being he saw to be as human as he himself was.
The panic he felt from the remembrance of the moments he had just witnessed. It made him question. "What kind of a situation is this? What is that being? Why do I call it a being and nothing else?" He had no answers, and the only thing with hints to it was running away from him.
The boy skipped after it chasing it for couple of leagues and yet neither the boy nor the being took a turn. Irrespective of many spaces he believed came as he chased after.
'Are they or are they not turns?' He thought to himself. He could not see clearly except the light in the front that was obscured slightly by the being flying to it.
Looking at the being not slowing down, he flicked to a stop. "No, I just don't want to rush after. No matter what."
The being too slowed down a little. 'Hmm, ok.' He noticed that too.
He thought back to the memories that came to him all of a sudden.
"That was odd. Why did I not remember doing so earlier?" He looked to his right and left. Both had empty looking spaces.
He thought that they were passages but he had not seen the being turn in one of the passages. Neither he saw any light coming from it anyhow.
"This place is weird." Grabbing his chin, he thought out loud, "Should I have refused?"
His eyes flicked for a moment to the being. It still walked forward but much slower than earlier. Its black shroud flitted around the being like it was caught by a wind.
He reformed his thought process and brought himself to remember if there is anything else he had to remember.
That's when he relieved the memory that had not come to him earlier.
The vision that he saw when the word rose within himself, the word 'willfall'.
Towers of blazing white dropped down, sea around him foamed crimson. This was the vision he had missed.
"How?" He was glad that he did not witness another vision when the word crashed into him, however he had questions over why does this happen to him.
"Could-could this be an effect from the castle?" An assumption rose, but he had no proof nor someone he could share this to correlate.
'Towers of blazing white falling down? That is a new premonition. But just why!' He kept it hidden from the outside world by thinking within.
The wanderer brought his mind back to the present he was in. Looking at the right and left of him. He couldn't see anything other than pitch black.
Yet, when he looked above he saw the black roof as dark as the floor below. He stood right next to an archway in the corridor. Beginning to walk was his only choice.
"Could I really leave?" The boy did turn back half. In his peripheral he saw the being stopping.
"Nope. I don't think I can," he began his walk slowly. Looking at his left and right time to time.
The darkness between the arches stayed the same for next several steps. After what felt to him like the hundredth step, he saw a change.
On both side of him, the left and right walls began to form.
Keeping his pace at a minimum of few steps per arch, he kept looking from his right wall to the left wall. The walls slowly began forming.
Every arch that he crossed he saw the wall being built. And after a few more arches, dots appeared exclusively on smooth dark black walls.
They did not seem ordinary to the boy. For he believed them to not be an effect of the environment but they were made purposefully.
Following the progress of the star like dots, he saw a line drawn in the next wall section on either side. The line kept on going from one side of the wall to the other below the dots.
As the wanderer went deeper into the corridor after the being in the black shroud, even his own brown overcoat did not randomly by itself moved. It stayed like a true overcoat than it ever did before.
Line on the walls reached the other side in the next archway, now a formation of a sapling began. It drew itself slowly time to time. But in every drawing something was different than the previous one.
This attracted the boy's attention. He stepped back a few steps to look at the previous wall on both sides. The being in the shroud too delayed its advance too.
While scrutinizing the murals on both sides he thought to himself, 'What could this be missing?' He had no idea.
Stepping forward few more wall sections, each one contained something from a natural environment coming into existence except every single one had something missing. No matter the mural, each one held a different perspective of the moment it is meant for to show.
Going forward following after the being, he encountered the first wall section after a certain amount of arches where on the right wall a little girl bent down to take care of the little plant, and the left wall had a man standing keeping his back to us.
