Chapter 3 - Tables Turned

It was already noon on the second day when Mollie woke up again.

Hearing the urgent prompt tone of text messages, she picked up her phone in a daze and clicked on the screen.

Stefanie wrote, "Mr. Hudson, I have evidence of my sister cheating on you. How about you and I meet up for a bit?"

It wasn't until she saw the contents of the text message that she realised that she was holding Jonathon's phone.

Mollie's almond-shaped eyes narrowed slightly, and her sleepiness instantly dissipated. The image of Stefanie torturing her in her past life was still vivid in her mind. Many details that she had not paid attention to entered her head.

She had been abducted by human traffickers when she was young and had lived in the countryside for many years.

It was her grandfather who had gone through so many hardships to find her and make her the daughter of the Hays family.

However, she already had a stepmother and a stepsister, Stefanie.

Mollie had always treated them sincerely. And yet, they played tricks behind her back. When she was taken back to the family, Stefanie was concerned about her. She would always "kindly" remind Mollie that Jonathon was cruel, and that she should stay away from him.

However, Stefanie contacted him in private.

She was a scheming b*tch.

Mollie quietly snorted. She was determined to teach Stefanie a lesson in this life.

"Honey, why do you have Stefanie's contact information?"

Jonathon came to an abrupt pause the moment he heard her calling him that. Even his eyes which were hazy with sleep became clear.

Obviously, he didn't hear the latter half of the sentence at all. Pulling Mollie into his arms, he urged, "What did you say just now? ! didn't hear you. Call me what you called me again."

His arms completely surrounded Mollie as he kissed her forehead intimately, tempting her to say what was on the tip of her tongue.

Unexpectedly, Mollie only grumbled in a tone laced with jealousy, "Stefanie asked you out."

"Block her."

The corners of Mollie's lips tugged upwards. She proceeded to delete the message in front of Jonathon and blocked Stefanie's contact.

However, she "persistently" rubbed her face against Jonathon's chest in dissatisfaction.

"Hmph," she grumbled, "Feasting on what's in the bowl while peering into the pot. You confine me in this solitude while secretly contacting other women!"

It was as if he was being held accountable by his wife.

This greatly pleased Jonathon. It was as if he had been through a lot of winter and finally got a glimpse of warmth. He hugged her tightly and buried his head in her neck before muttering, "I could only ask about you through her because I couldn't get in touch with you."

His voice was low with a bit of restrained grievance.

Mollie smiled awkwardly. She remembered now.

As she used to think that he was annoying, she had long since blocked his number...She caressed his head.

"I won't block you from now on."

Haring that, the man nodded with satisfaction and turned over to press her under him again.

He was moved by the tenderness in her words at first, but when he looked at the traces on her body, he realized he wanted to integrate her into his very bones and blood more than anything.

"Mollie..." His voice was filled with desire.

She comprehended the nature of a man who had openly bared his desires, yet she sensibly brushed his hand away, cajoling him, "I'm really tired, darling. Can you please accompany me somewhere first?"

After receiving the hotel address sent by Jonathon, Stefanie, dressed in a black spaghetti-strap dress, excitedly went to deliver the "goods" in person.

She knocked on the hotel room door, but to her surprise, the one she met was Mollie.

"Why are you here?" she instinctively asked.

"What's the matter? Disappointed it's not Jonathon who opened the door?"

Mollie's tone was teasing and scornful. She didn't bother to hide her disdain and contempt for the woman in front of her.

Stefanie didn't feel ashamed that someone had seen through her at all. Instead, she lifted her head boldly and met Mollie's gaze head-on.

Her gaze was like kindling burning with intense jealousy.

She then stared intently at the white shirt on Mollie. It was a men's shirt so oversized that it perfectly covered Mollie's hips and showcased her straight, beautiful legs. And on that fair neck of hers, there were numerous red marks scattered conspicuously.

With her experience, it was easy for her to guess that Mollie was just done with a passionate encounter, and the man she had been intimate with was notably frenzied.

"You... Which man are you having an affair with? I'm going to tell Corey!" As Stefanie spoke, she pushed Mollie aside and forcefully squeezed her way into the room.

Yet, upon catching sight of a familiar gentleman's tie draped over the duvet, she lost the courage to take another step inside.

"How shameless can you be! You knew that Mr. Hudson and I were supposed to meet, yet you walked right up to his doorstep yourself!"

Her words had barely left her lips when a crisp sound of a slap resounded within the room.

Mollie grabbed Stefanie by one hand and unhesitatingly slapped her across the face with the other, leaving prominent fingerprints on her cheek.

Meanwhile, Stefanie stared incredulously at the hand that had just struck her.

Mollie, who had always been obedient to her, dared to unscrupulously slap her!

She was so angry that her gums were itching. Enraged, she made a move to grab Mollie's hair.

However, Mollie had anticipated her attack, sd she grabbed Stefanie's wrist right at that moment.

"So, the seemingly elegant sister turns out to be a shrew at heart."

"Who are you calling a shrew?!"

"Whoever the cap fits, let them wear it."

With an air of arrogance mingled with a hint of detachment and relaxation, Mollie leaned lazily against the doorframe. She then disdainfully looked down at Stefanie beneath her.

Stefanie was both ashamed and furious. Her teeth gritted as she uttered, "Shameless."

Mollie chuckled in exasperation.

"I'm shameless? Who's the one who knows that Mr. Hudson's heart belongs to their sister, yet still tries to secretly seduce him Look at your current appearance.

You are presenting yourself like you are some cheap offering. How are you thick-skinned enough to question me?

"Do you know the difference between us? I am the woman Mr. Hudson has put great effort into bedding, while you are the woman he wouldn't even glance at despite your advances!"

Stefanie, who was left dumbfounded by anger, could only repeatedly choke out, "You!"

At first, she didn't think offering herself to Jonathon was something to be ashamed of.
