Chapter 152 - Chapter 152 Directing Minato Namikaze

Shindai glared at the three persistent figures who stubbornly refused to leave his house.

"Hey, your presence here is seriously affecting my performance!"

But Obito, Kakashi, and Rin Nohara showed no concern.

"I'm afraid you'll completely go off the rails the moment we leave. Sensei's far too trusting to buy into your nonsense!" said Kakashi.

Shindai exclaimed angrily, "Hey! What do you mean by nonsense? I'm absolutely sincere, and I have total confidence in this plan!"

Kakashi smirked, "Confidence? Then tell us specifically, where's your confidence coming from?"

Shindai replied confidently, "My confidence comes from knowing Minato and Sister Kushina genuinely like each other. All we need to do is help them break through this thin veil of misunderstanding. It'll be a piece of cake for me!

I've already told you everything. Whether you three want to stay here or not is none of my business, but don't bother me! If things go south, you won't even need me chasing you down—Sister Kushina alone will be more than enough!"

Shindai covered his left eye and began observing through his Third Eye positioned inside Minato Namikaze's house.

In Minato's living room, Kushina Uzumaki had already finished washing the dishes.

Wiping her damp hands dry, Kushina said to Minato Namikaze, "Well, it's getting pretty late now... I'll take my leave first."

Kushina gazed intensely at Minato, secretly hoping he would say something meaningful.

However, much to Kushina's disappointment, Minato didn't say what she longed to hear. He simply replied with, "Huh? Oh okay, see you tomorrow."

Actually Minato was quite anxious inside—wasn't Shindai supposed to follow his instructions?

Where was the guidance? Why hadn't he heard a single word through the earbuds yet?

Because of Shindai's previous reminder during dinner, Minato, now enlightened, could clearly see the expectation in Kushina's eyes.

Minato wanted to say something, but remembering Shindai's promise of shameless bliss and his assurance that he was in control, he held himself back.

With a disappointed sigh, Kushina headed toward the door, her hand already resting on the doorknob.

Minato became extremely anxious and whispered urgently, "Shindai, where's your direction?"

Still there was no response from the earbud.

"Huh? Why won't this door open?"

Kushina turned the doorknob several times, pushing hard against the door, but found it impossible to open.

With their ears pressed against the wall, eavesdropping on the conversation next door, Obito and the others heard Kushina's frustration and looked at Shindai.

"You did this?"

"Of course," Shindai gloated proudly. "I blocked the door with my Iron Sand Body. Kushina Sister can't escape. How could I possibly let her leave? Now, it's finally my moment to shine!"

Minato Namikaze's earbuds, which had remained silent until now, finally transmitted Shindai's voice.

Hearing Shindai's instructions, Minato's face turned bright red. He stammered nervously at Kushina Uzumaki, "Ku-Kushina, si-since the door is broken, why don't you stay here tonight instead of going back?"

Kushina Uzumaki suddenly turned to look at Minato Namikaze, watching him with some surprise—had he finally gotten it?

Though she couldn't help but think that 'broken door' was such a clumsy excuse.

If the door was broken, what about the window?

But since Minato had finally come around for once, she wouldn't be so insensitive to miss this opportunity. Who knew how long it might be before another like this came along?

Kushina's cheeks were also flushed red as she lifted her head proudly and said, "Well... if the door really is broken, I guess I'll reluctantly stay here one night!"

She sat back down on the sofa, shyly lowering her head without daring to look at Minato, waiting for him to say something.

However, after waiting for a while, Minato still hadn't spoken. Kushina secretly raised her eyes to peek, discovering beads of sweat pouring down Minato's face like water rushing through an open gate.

She could even hear Minato muttering softly to himself, "Should I really do this seriously?"

"What do you mean 'should I do this'? Minato, why are you sweating so much?" Kushina asked in confusion.

"I-It's just... a little hot, Kushina. Could you please get me a glass of water?" Minato replied quickly, startled by her question.

"Okay."

Kushina felt something odd. From earlier, Minato seemed somehow strange—acting mysteriously nervous. Could it be... he was thinking about how to confess his feelings again?

At this thought, Kushina's heart swelled joyfully as she got up to pour Minato a glass of water.

Meanwhile, Shindai's room was now empty except for himself.

The reason was that Obito, Kakashi, and Rin Nohara had gone to peep through the window. After all, only hearing sounds without seeing what was happening inside had made them eager with curiosity.

After all, peeping was practically their specialty.

Kushina was pouring water for Minato, her mind swirling with thoughts of how Minato would confess his feelings later.

Just as Kushina finished pouring the water and turned around, she discovered that Minato had already stood right behind her without her noticing. Startled, she jumped slightly and accidentally splashed the water all over Minato.

"What? How come you came over without a sound? You scared me half to death! My clothes are soaked—go change right away..."

Before Kushina could finish, Minato suddenly pressed one hand against the wall behind her with a loud *thud*, leaning his face in close until it was just inches from hers.

Obito and the other two watched in shock, gaping at what they were seeing.

Is this really their Sensei Minato?

No way. Right now, Minato is being manipulated by that evil guy Shindai!

Though… honestly, it looked pretty thrilling.

Obito exclaimed admiringly, "I call this move the "Wall Stop!"

Kakashi and Rin Nohara both thought the name Obito chose was perfect.

Kushina stared blankly at Minato's face just inches from her own, her mind going completely blank, steam practically rising from her ears.

Truth be told, even Minato himself wasn't faring much better at the moment.

Because right now, Minato feels deeply embarrassed.

And what he was about to say next would only make things worse.

"Ku... Kushina… There's something I do every single moment… Do you know what it is?"

"W-What is it?"

"I… I'm thinking of y-you…"

Kushina's already red face deepened instantly into a bright, blood red.

"I-I think our friendship can't last past today..."

"Eh? Why?"

"B-Because… I want it to turn into love…"

Kushina's expression was pure shock. Was this even the same shy Minato she knew?
