Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Mia woke up startled and slightly disheveled as the events from last night started to run through her mind, she blushed and looked around the room. Axel was gone, he had a superpower when it came to slipping out quietly, I guess it's a good skill when your the mafia boss. She led in the bed mulling

over the pervious nights activities trying to find a soft spot in Axels evil mask. After getting dressed for the day in a summer dress. She ate her breakfast the maid must of brought in earlier. An array of tropical fruits,

glistening like jewels under the sunlight that beamed through the windows. Along with pastries, golden brown and crumbly. She washed her food down with the fresh orange juice the maid left and sat down by the window. As she stared into the distance she remembered the lust and desire that ran through his eyes as she openly and very willingly let him take her. Her cheeks flushed red as the images flashed through her mind. She spent the day reading the rest of her book while aimlessly trying to root through things to find out more about Axel. He was a complete mystery, there was nothing in any written words about him or the Morino family. They were a completely off record anomaly. The only thing she could find was what looked like a family crest, an insignia on all of the doors, a black double headed dragon. Her finger traced the figure in the door, it was burned into the wood with a branding iron. As she looked around the rooms she found several more types of the exactly same crest. A black dragon with two heads, sat on a pile of jewels. She sat on the thought of his family crest for the rest of the day. As she traced every dragon she could find, taking notes of each and every detail.

Taking a hot shower to release her tension the bathroom door slammed open. She turned away in fear of what was happening as Axel stumbled up towards her in the shower, covered in blood again and smelling of whiskey. As he approached the shower his eyes were dark, this wasn't the friendly Axel who looked at her as if she was made of

glass, this Axel was here to harm. She swallowed back the rising anxiety that

flooded through her body as he pulled out his hip flask and grabbed her hair by

the root, tipping her head back and forcing whisky down her throat. She coughed

and spluttered as her vision started to go fuzzy again, Axel's hands holding her tight as he removed her from the shower and carried her into the bedroom. "Now Doll, I said I'd never intend harm but tonight you do as I say." His aura stern and angry. His eyes flicked to the mirror on the wall opposite the bed as he looked back at her with the smallest glimpse of guilt hiding behind the anger. He unzipped his pants and exposed his giant throbbing cock, leaving Mia feeling uncomfortable. The difference between him last night and tonight was too much to bare, what had happened? Her body tensed as his cock pushed deep into her with no warning. Tears streaming down her face yet again, he finished quickly as if it was a chore. He then proceeded to carry her into the bathroom and run her a bath again. "I'm sorry Mia, there's a lot more going on then you realise right now and it's definitely something I can't explain in the nicest way possible. Just bare with me for now, please. I won't be back for a few days now so stay here and away from anyone else." He kissed her forehead and left the room, leaving Mia in a trance of confusion, her head spinning with questions.

As her head hit the pillow her mind was buzzing with endless ideas. If she could find Axels weakness she could exploit it to the Mafia and cause him to loose his reputation, but right now his only weakness seemed to be seeing her hurt and broken. Was it genuine guilt or a game to him? She spent the night reading another book, tossing and turning. Her head relentlessly needing answers for her continuous stream of questions that flittered across her mind. She went to inspect the front door of the penthouse, it was locked with high security eye and fingerprint scanners. Almost indefinitely won't be leaving without killing him first. She heard gentle footsteps on the other side of the door and then a knock. She stepped back wondering who it was. As the door opened Mia released the breath she didn't realise she was holding as she saw the maid who brings her meals. "I thought you might still be up, your name is Mia right?" She looked at her intensely as she waited for a reply. "Yes it is, is everything okay?" Mia replied questioning her need to be there. "Yes everything is fine, I just wish to pass on some advice for while the master is away from the hotel, you will not be safe outside of this room. If anyone but me enters this room, hide. No matter how much master believes he can keep you safe, his father is an evil man who is constantly waiting for his son to fail. And right now YOU are a weakness, his gentle disposition has been hidden for many many years until he met you. So please Miss, stay safe and stay out of the way, I will bring you anything you desire." Mia'a eyes bugged out of her head at the realisation that she was essentially on an island surrounded by crocodiles and sharks. If she wanted to survive she will have to be tamed, if only for a little while. Mia nodded and thanked the Maid for the advice as she headed off back to the bedroom. Crawling into bed Mia crumbled, the weight of the issues she had to deal with were too much, her heart was broken. Maybe she couldn't survive this. She sobbed and sobbed until her eyes went puffy and her pillow was soaked from her tears then she passed out, curled up in the bed. As she slept she felt a sudden warmth surround her, a comforting and loving feeling radiating towards her. She snuggled up into the feeling, getting lost in the warm comfort and safety before she took a long sniff, expecting to smell Axel's musty sandalwood skin only to be greeted with the smell of port and tart grapefruit. Her eyes bolted open and Mia jumped back as she went to shield herself.
