Once Axel had finished dealing with the family that had hurt Jaimie, he sent the evidence to the government without hesitation. His expression didn't change when the files were gone. Instead, he simply switched gears, pulling up a new set of programs.
It was time to cover his own tracks.
Although he had already told the hackers at AX to clean up after him, something in his gut told him they might not have done a good job. Ten dead men in the afternoon left a big mess, and sloppy work wasn't something Axel could afford.
So, he began hacking all over again.
Marlon sat beside him, silent for the first few minutes, watching the rapid dance of Axel's fingers over the keyboard.
Eventually, Axel stopped. His eyes narrowed as he studied the screen, and then he muttered, "They made thirty mistakes."
