Chapter 186 - C186 : Developments

"Ugh! How are you so damn hot!" One of the evil gods complained. "It's so unfair! I want that talent thrusted in me! So hard!"

Shurry ignored the excessively horny goddess words, as well as the one male god expressing a similar sentiment. Truly terrible gods. They came down here to kill me, and now they want to fuck me.

"He's just so sexy!"

"I know, with a body like that… Damn it's so unfair."

Shurry turned, and glared.

"Oh yeah! Glare at me all day! Look at everything I have! Ravage me with those eyes!"

"Shut up before I decide it's actually worth killing you before reaching the surface. None of you interest me in the slightest. Ugly whores the lot of you!"

"I've never been so disrespected! Ah! It feels so damn good! Do me more."

Shurry moved at a blinding speed, drying off with just how fast he moved, and knocked the gods out again. The wolves looked at him with a curious expression.

"What? They're just so damn annoying."

Luna appeared, deciding to forego clothing manifestation to match Shurry's current state.

"You know, we could just head up to the surface now."

"I'm preparing my mind for what I must do when I get there. I can't give Mother any reason to stop me this time."

"Well, it works out, the spirits in your wolves have grown accustomed to their new abilities. And the best part, you can still pull them into your soul just like normal." Luna massaged Shurry's shoulders, and brushed his tail. "I know what you're thinking."

"And how do you feel about it?"

"It's less than he deserves."

"You're right. The gods will probably let it go after a while. Life is seen as nothing more than a blip by them, despite living so long. They can't possibly understand what it feels like, this evil deserves the type of punishment only a mortal could give."

"So you've decided then?"

"Yes."

"Even at the cost of some of our strength?"

"Yes."

"I should've known. Then let's get going. My dearest, lifelong friend, Shurry."

"Yeah, we have punishment to dish out."

Shurry got dressed using what he could salvage from the tattered remains of his garments. There wasn't a single person in Orario who could craft him armor that could withstand the types of fights he had to deal with, let alone clothing. This was already his last pair with him… That's when he remembered there was a fresh set of clothes for him tucked away on this very floor. So he quickly changed into that full set of clothes. And then he led the wolves up through the floors, killing their way through anything that didn't get out of the way, or submit to him. Loup Garou were the most numerous monsters on several of the floors, however, for some reason there were hardly any of them this time around.

"It seems that everything had heard my call before, and moved out. I'll give headpats later."

"They'll love that."

…

On the surface, several hours had passed since Erebus' declaration. And there was still no end in sight to the battles within the city lines. The intensity had died down, sure, but that was it.

The adventurers who survived the battles after losing their powers when their gods died, were granted their strength once more by other gods, ones who had similar ideals to the ones who left. Some tried to join the Hathor familia, but Hathor refused them.

"May I ask why, Lady Hathor?"

"Because, you are not a good fit for my familia. Just because we are in desperate times right now, does not mean I'll go back on how I want my children to be. If you wish to join a prominent familia, that is one thing. I know that Ganesha will take just about anyone."

"So, it's not that I don't have what it takes to become strong. But I don't have the ability to fit in?"

"That's right. You're not the type who doesn't care if a party gets a little sensational. I need those people in my familia."

A dancer came delivering Hathor some more tea. And of course she wasn't wearing much, even by amazoness standards.

"Lady Hathor's right, if you can't feel free to enjoy, uh, partnership, with the men in the familia you'd really never fit in. I think aside from like five of the men in our familia I've had relations with all of them. Even bore 4 of them children."

"Oh, that would cause issues for my continued growth."

"Wait, what about those who-"

"Married couples usually stick to enjoying each other's company. No one crosses that red line to touch them. Though some do ask for a little added spice." The dancer shook her hips jiggling her body in a sensational manner. "I love this familia."

"Thank you for clearing that up for me. I'm not sure I could handle that."

"That's fine child, there are plenty of my kin who would love to have a young lady like you in their familia."

Someone came running out of the dungeon, lots of people came running out of the dungeon, everyone that had been down there as a way to stay safe.

"Monsters! Monsters are coming!!! We were on the 5th floor when I heard that terrifying sound."

From the south, north, and west, reports of monsters flooding into the war zones started coming in. Finn, now acting as the commander of all the forces in Orario, despite the numerous misgivings from the Hathor, and Ganesha familias, he heard the reports, and was now trying to think of a way to divide the forces.

"Donathan?"

"Huh, what do you want, brat?" Donathan the newly leveled up level 5 of Hathor familia said.

"How do the rest of your familia members stack up with you?"

"Almost on par at any given level. Though we do split the levels into three tiers, I'm now a low 5. But from your perspective, I'd be a low 6 perhaps slightly more. Depends on what you're using to judge someone's ability. I for one still think you're weak."

Donathan stood up and left.

"Where are you going?"

"Where do you think, mister strategy?"

"The east?"

"Idiot. No, I'm going to the dungeon entrance, those monsters are coming, but they aren't enemies." He said, with a smirk, and gave the wolf guardian Hathor a firm head scratch. "Isn't that right?"

The wolf made a low bark, and a few other sounds as if to confirm the thought. The reaction was so shocking that Finn and the others took a step back. Donathan chuckled and casually walked over to the dungeon entrance, putting on his own little tuft of Shurry's fur.

With this, I should be able to give them some simple commands. Bokhoir and the others can handle the east for now, a battle like that, I'd only get in the way with one of the skills they have.
