John: I want to make a deal with you.
Anexa: hmmm?
Anexa took one look at John's calm face, then turns and refuses the deal while continuing her way.
Anexa: I'm not interested.
John: you know Ms. Anexa, you have the freedom to turn down my deal, but going away like that without even knowing what you might've gotten from the deal might be a waste for you, you know what they say "don't refuse a deal without knowing what's in it for you".
Anexa stops, and for a moment, she just stood there, then she turns to face the guy with the red eyes, her voice remains as cold as ever when she speaks.
Anexa: Continue.
As she said that, a smirk appears on John's face.
John: here's what I want from you, I want you to aid the students at the fight with the snow Elves.
John explains the situation to her, and Anexa couldn't help but feel a little bit of pity towards the guy in front of her.
Anexa: you have high hopes for the people of that place, let me ask you this, what makes you think that you can make every student forget about their problems just to save this Academy?
John: what makes you think I can't?
Anexa: Hmph, is that everything you want from me?
John: (heh), I still have one more thing to ask, I want you to teach me how to use the Coldear Family magic, the time magic.
Anexa immediately looked pissed after hearing that, even though her cold voice didn't show it, her face alone said it all.
Anexa: you want me, The fallen Marvel that couldn't learn that magic herself, to teach you how to use it? I can't tell if you're making fun of me or you're serious.
John: I know it sounds crazy, but I bet you still remember the basics, that's all what I need.
Anexa's gaze shifts to the floor as if she remembered something unpleasant, her eyes suddenly drift to John.
Anexa: and what do I get from doing all of that?
John: you know Ms. Anexa, money and jewelry seem worthless to you, so how about I give you a service that could be anything you want.
Anexa: a service? Like what?
John smiles gently as he explains.
John: I said it could be anything, for example, retrieving a stolen item, or getting some top secret information, or . . .
Anexa: or what?
John's gentle smile turn to a smirk.
John: or getting rid of a certain person, perhaps someone you identify as your enemy.
Anexa looks through the hallway window and thinks about what John said while gazing at the gray sky, suddenly, her eyes return to John, and while she crosses her arms, she tries to see if John's serious.
Anexa: your name is John right?
John: yes.
Anexa: you know Mr. John, "Anything" is a big word that most people downplay the significance of, what makes you think that you can handle the weight of it?
John: heh, try me.
[End of Flashback]
John stood behind them smirking; while kneeling on the ground Danish and Baldur couldn't process what just happened, even Bukke who's still laying on the snow is still in disbelief.
Baldur: (What just happened? He was right in front of me, and Bukke was Holding him, but when I blinked, he freed himself, not only that but he delivered a hit to both me and Danish, I don't know if that was some kind of teleporting magic but he should've killed us) I don't know how you did it, but you should've aimed for the head.
John: I know, but my deal with Lania includes one special condition, and that is to make all of you feel Absolute fear in your last moments.
As all of the Snow Elves princes stand up, John already has his eyes on one of them, without waiting for a response, John uses the same Technique as before and launches himself towards Bukke, Kicking him mid-air and sending both of them deep into the woods, leaving behind a massive white cloud of snow that can be seen from the Academy, as Lania sees that Scenery, her legs start to shake, she can't tell if John is doing fine in the woods because the trees are blocking the view.
Lania: (Just what is going on?!! That huge cloud that came from the woods, perhaps it's John? I hope he doesn't get hurt, I really wish to help him, but. . . I'll just be in his way, why am I like that?).
Danish and Baldur try to go behind John and Bukke, but immediately, the two of them sense something is wrong with their bodies, they can't move as fast as before, they can barely run.
Danish: Baldur, something is wrong, I can't use my full power.
Baldur didn't need to think twice, he knows exactly what's going on, feeling weaker after being injured only means one thing.
Baldur: THAT HUMAN BASTARD!!! HE POISONED HIS SWORDS!!!
[At The Same Time]
At the front gate, the students are getting exhausted, and the snow Elves still outnumbering them, Even the high ranking students are near their limits.
Lona who's using a bow, looks at the ground and sees a few students still standing with Arnold and Aldric.
Lona: (Damn it, if the situation continues like that, the injured students inside the Academy's gate will be exposed to danger).
On the ground, Arnold, Aldric, And another three students, are taking a defensive position as they see the huge number of Elves getting closer as if they already own the place.
Aldric: (This is bad, They outnumber us by a wide margin, back in the fight with the consul, we were holding ourselves because we knew support was coming, but now we're on our own, could it be possible that John didn't know how strong the snow Elves are?).
Suddenly, the student that's standing next to Aldric collapses on his knees, not from exhaustion and not from injury, but he just gave up.
Student: I can't Take it anymore, we're going to lose.
Aldric: Don't say that! Pull yourself together.
Student: what's the point? They outnumber us, not only that, but they're also stronger than us, was it really worth fighting here in first place?
Aldric looks at the ground knowing everything the student has said is true.
Aldric: (he's right, the fight seems meaningless now, did John miscalculate the situation?).
Just then, a girl with silver long hair wearing a white coat comes out of the Academy's gate, she calmly walks past Aldric and Arnold who are shocked before stopping a few steps in front of them.
Aldric: This is. . .
Arnold: Anexa Coldear.
one of the snow Elves starts laughing and mocking the Academy students.
Snow Elf: HAHAHAHAHAHA, IS THAT YOUR LAST LINE OF DEFENSE?!! A GIRL?!! YOU GUYS ARE PATHETIC.
Anexa doesn't scream at them, nor does she get angry, and her emotionless face doesn't change a bit, she extend her hand gently forward, while she speaks in her ice cold voice.
Anexa: All of you shall turn to Ash.
Immediately, over 30 red magic circles appear in the sky, focused on the snow Elves, Fire balls, flames, And Arrows made of fire itself starts coming out of the magic circles, destroying all the snow Elves in their path.
As they watch all of that happening in front of them, they can't do anything but to stare.
Arnold: The Fallen Marvel, it's . . . Terrifying.
Aldric: (so this is what the power of The Fallen Marvel looks like, it feels so . . . Unreal).
In just a few seconds, Anexa was able to clear almost half of the snow Elves, turning them into literal Ash.
