Chapter 5 - Civilization, Society, And Succession

Under their gaze, Jiang Fan began the process of rubbing two woods together to make fire. This process was very long, at least half an hour. Fortunately, today's humans are very patient and kept staring at Jiang Fan closely.

Hard work pays off. As a little spark started to ignite, Jiang Fan immediately put some grass fluff on it and blew gently a few times with his mouth, and the fire immediately ignited.

As Jiang Fan continued to add fuel, the flames stabilized.

The humans on the other side were extremely shocked when they saw the sudden appearance of the flames.

Jiang Fan smiled slightly, this is the power of knowledge!

"Roar! Roar! Ha! Ha..."

The humans were shouting and screaming, apparently stunned by Jiang Fan's move.

Jiang Fan knew that his mission was accomplished. The next step was to see how the human race would perform. His presence would also make them very alert.

He threw the fire-making tool he made to them and returned to his camp.

[Ding! The host did a good job by not approaching rashly. Humans are still very vigilant now.]

"Experience is all about lessons learned through blood and tears."

Jiang Fan smiled helplessly. Fire was very intimidating to humans of this period. If he could create fire, they would be afraid of him, which would make it easier for him to act in the future and speed up the enlightenment process, killing two birds with one stone.

I just don't know if humans can learn it after I only demonstrated it once.

In the past, I learned about them by getting familiar with them and then teaching them step by step.

However, this early h*** sapiens seemed to have a strong learning ability, and the human species it created should not be bad either...

...

As Jiang Fan left, the humans also walked forward vigilantly and picked up the tools that Jiang Fan threw to them.

The 'leader' looked in Jiang Fan's direction thoughtfully. The burning fire had been extinguished after the remaining firewood had been burned.

It then led the group of humans back to the camp.

A bunch of humans gathered together.

The leader imitated Jiang Fan's operation, and the human species next to him also collected all the materials used by Jiang Fan and placed them next to him.

So everyone stared at the leader's operation with bright eyes.

As time passed, little sparks ignited. The leader quickly placed a handful of grass fluff and blew gently with his big mouth.

"Shh... huh~"

The fire suddenly ignited, and the leader hurriedly added new straw and dry firewood to maintain the flame.

After a while, the flame gradually stabilized.

"Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!"

The humans shouted and screamed, jumping up and down on the spot.

The leader also grinned, looking like he was in a good mood. Although they were a little afraid of the fire, the warmth it brought kept warming their bodies.

On this slightly cold night, they experienced unprecedented comfort.

...

After the first contact, Jiang Fan and the human race got along more harmoniously in the days that followed, and the human race's hostility towards Jiang Fan was not as strong.

During this period of time, the human race also assigned a group of humans to follow Jiang Fan from morning to night.

This was not a warning, but the first contact made them realize that learning Jiang Fan's behavior would be very beneficial to them.

Jiang Fan naturally understood what they meant, so he tried his best to demonstrate something practical to them.

When the humans saw that Jiang Fan was walking on two feet, they followed suit.

They were very uncomfortable at first, but as time passed, everyone got used to it.

However, it takes a long evolution to completely stand on two feet and walk...

Seeing Jiang Fan actually roasting the meat on the fire, he didn't understand why Jiang Fan did that.

But I still learned it.

I didn't get it right at the beginning and the meat was burnt, but after trying again and again, I learned to pay attention to the heat and timing, and gradually I became proficient in grilling meat.

After eating the delicious cooked meat, humans decisively gave up their previous practice of eating raw meat, and from then on they would roast everything they ate over the fire.

It feels like it won't taste good if it's not baked.

Seeing that Jiang Fan was wearing clothes, they imitated him even though they didn't understand what they were for. Since they didn't have clothes, they used leaves instead.

They were woven one by one with thick leaves and then wrapped around the body.

During the period, Jiang Fan also demonstrated to them how to make weapons and hunting tools.

For example, fishing nets, traps, etc.

Time flies, and in a blink of an eye, Jiang Fan has been on Earth for nearly forty years.

On this day, a human suddenly walked into Jiang Fan's territory.

This made Jiang Fan stunned. This was the first time they had such close contact in forty years.

Jiang Fan gestured to him what was going on, but he didn't say anything. After all, the current human race did not have a language system, and they would not understand even if he explained.

The humanoid gestured, pointed at Jiang Fan, and then pointed at their camp.

Jiang Fan understood, they wanted him to go to their camp, right?

So Jiang Fan stood up and followed the human.

After a while, Jiang Fan officially stepped into their territory for the first time.

The humans stood respectfully around, and one of them led the way, bringing Jiang Fan into a simple house.

During these forty years, Jiang Fan naturally built his own house, and these humans also learned from him and built simple houses one after another.

As Jiang Fan came in, the eyes of the human lying on a simple stone bed lit up.

This humanoid was very old, with a bit of deathly aura all over his body, and it looked like his life was about to come to an end.

After looking at it for a while, Jiang Fan knew that this humanoid was the leader of the humanoid species whom he had first come into contact with.

It seems that the life span of modern humans is still too short, and it ends at just forty years.

"Alas..." Jiang Fan sighed slightly.

The leader raised a trembling hand, pointed at himself, then pointed at Jiang Fan, and looked at the group of humans with bright eyes at the door.

They were all in a low mood. Although a complete social system had not yet been formed, a little bit of rationality still existed in their hearts amidst the separation of life and death.

Jiang Fan looked at them, then looked at the old leader, and suddenly realized that he was going to be the leader of this group of humans.

Jiang Fan nodded with a heavy heart. Since others trusted him so much, he would certainly not let them down.

The leader forced a smile and handed something like a crutch to Jiang Fan.

As Jiang Fan took it, the leader's hand slipped away weakly.

"Don't worry, I will do my best for the development of human civilization, not only for you, but also for myself!"

This was the first time Jiang Fan spoke in front of humans.

Although this group of humans couldn't understand, it didn't matter. The old leader fell, a new leader was born, and the enlightenment era of civilization began.

After giving the first generation leader a grand burial, Jiang Fan began his hands-on teaching.

The initial establishment of society was born.
