Chapter 52 - Chapter 51: The First Gift

Chapter 51: The First Gift

Kieu Ly hesitated in silence, unsure whether to respond, but Toan Phuong had already grabbed an umbrella, opened it above his head, and stepped into the rain. Before leaving, he turned to the housekeeper and said:

"Please help Miss Ly upstairs to shower. I already turned on the water heater."

The housekeeper immediately turned to Kieu Ly and gestured for her to follow. Suddenly, Ly felt a wave of embarrassment. She had only come here to work, but now she was troubling them so much. Still, she really did need that shower.

Meanwhile, Toan Phuong walked to the nearby Vincom Plaza to buy a dress for Kieu Ly. It was the first time he had ever shopped for a girl. Yet, it didn't take him long to find something he liked—a white dress that caught his eye. He was sure she would look beautiful in it.

And if it didn't fit? Well, she could always wear one of his shirts instead.

Afterward, he went to the lingerie section to pick up undergarments. The panties were easy—size M—but bras were another story. He carefully described Kieu Ly's figure to the store clerk, who helped him estimate a suitable size. In the end, he bought five different bras, all in cup sizes B and C.

By the time he got home, Kieu Ly was still in the shower, probably unable to come out without clothes. He walked up to the bathroom door and called out:

"Miss Ly, wait just a bit longer. I'll have clothes for you in ten minutes."

Then, he quickly rinsed the new underwear, slipped them into a plastic bag, inserted a hairdryer, sealed the bag tightly, and began drying them. Technically, he could've asked the housekeeper to do all this, but he wanted to take care of it himself. Underwear could easily cause irritation, and he didn't want her wearing anything unwashed.

A few minutes later, everything was ready. He brought the bag to the bathroom and knocked:

"Miss Ly?"

"I'm here," she replied from inside.

"I've hung your clothes on the door. Just grab them when you're done. I'll head up to the second floor to shower now."

With that, he left.

When she heard his footsteps fade away, Kieu Ly carefully cracked the door open and reached for the bag. But when she opened it, she couldn't help but blush. The white dress was soft and elegant. The underwear? Black—and five different bras.

She picked the one that fit best and got dressed. As she stood in front of the mirror blow-drying her hair, even she was surprised at her reflection. The white dress fit her perfectly, making her look refined and beautiful. For a brief moment, she felt she exuded the same aura as Toan Phuong's mother when she had first met her—an elegant, intelligent woman raised with grace, education, and affluence.

Finished with everything, she headed upstairs to wait for Toan Phuong in the study room.
