Chapter 87 - Chapter 86: Sixth Sense

Chapter 86: Sixth Sense

Back in Vietnam, after telling Tra about his plans, Quang Huy officially began his startup journey. But ever since then, Huy had been leaving earlier and coming home later. He also seemed to smoke more, likely due to stress. Their intimacy had grown colder, and Tra couldn't help but feel like Huy was starting to lose interest in her.

She sat quietly at the dinner table waiting for him, overwhelmed with a quiet sadness. This wasn't the first time she had waited alone, but tonight the loneliness felt heavier. Startups aren't easy—only about 5% succeed. Huy was probably going through a rough patch, but instead of opening up, he chose to face it alone, shutting her out.

Today was April 1st—her birthday—but he hadn't even remembered. Born on this date, Tra had always been cheerful and playful by nature. But lately, even she had stopped smiling so much.

As she sat there lost in thought, a message from Ly arrived:

"Happy birthday to the happiest girl in the world! Wishing you beauty, joy, and may you become a rich lady soon "

Tra's heart felt a little lighter. She replied:

"Thanks. I wish you were home right now."

"Why wish I were home? You've got Huy oppa already "

Ly's mention of Huy only made Tra feel worse, and tears began to stream down her cheeks.

"Ly, I just feel so sad right now."

"What happened? Where's my carefree friend who's always laughing?"

"She died the moment she got entangled with that b*tch called love"

"Just tell me what's going on. You'll feel better letting it out."

"Huy's been coming home late a lot, and it feels like he's no longer passionate about me."

"We're economics majors, you know how hard startups are. Maybe he's just stressed."

"I figured. But the thing is… he's not sharing anything with me. Isn't that like saying I'm just a bystander in his life?"

From across the globe in London, Kieu Ly could immediately sense what Tra was feeling. At its core, it was a lack of emotional security. Before, Tra worried that Huy didn't love her enough. Now she felt like she was being left behind as he pursued his future.

Maybe she was overthinking. Maybe seeing Huy pursue her so fiercely before left a lingering doubt in her mind. Or maybe their love happened so fast, it felt fragile and unstable.

But then again, maybe it was just a woman's sixth sense—sharp, instinctive, and often right. It was entirely possible that something really was going wrong between Huy and Tra.

Kieu Ly thought back to her own relationship with Hoang Anh. She, too, had constantly felt insecure—like she was walking on thin ice. And eventually, the inevitable did happen.
