Chapter 95 - Chapter 93: A Shocking Confession

Chapter 93: A Shocking Confession

Kieu Ly walked into the classroom, struggling a bit with the heavy bag of snacks and candy. With a cheerful smile, she announced:

"I'm back from overseas. I won't be studying with everyone anymore, so I came today to say goodbye. These past two years with this class have meant a lot to me."

"Did you like living in London, Ly?"

"It was a bit lonely, but hey, we're born to explore and experience, right?"

"Even though we won't be classmates anymore, will you still join us for class get-togethers?"

"Haha, let's leave that to fate."

Duong eagerly helped Ly unwrap the snacks and passed them around the classroom.

Just then, someone appeared at the classroom door—calmly stepping in, holding a huge bouquet of flowers.

Everyone was startled to see a complete stranger walk in. Though unfamiliar, the entire class was captivated by his striking appearance and confident presence. The boy walked straight in and greeted them cheerfully:

"Hello, everyone. Sorry to steal the spotlight for a moment!"

Down in the classroom, curious glances were exchanged, and several students quickly pulled out their phones to livestream.

Without waiting, the boy walked straight toward the stunned Kieu Ly, who was still holding an unopened candy wrapper. With a composed voice, he said:

"Kieu Ly, just as I promised, I've become a student at Foreign Trade University. Will you be my girlfriend?"

As he spoke, Toan Phuong offered her the bouquet, looking straight into her eyes with the most sincere and serious expression—as if this was the moment he had poured his entire heart into, and losing wasn't an option.

Whispers broke out across the class:

"Oh my God, this is so romantic."

"Why can't I be the female lead in this story?"

"This feels like a real-life fairy tale—like a prince and princess!"

Kieu Ly looked at Toan Phuong, completely flustered. Her brain, usually so sharp, suddenly felt like an old, sluggish processor that couldn't compute fast enough to keep up.

His grand gesture unexpectedly triggered a memory—back when Hoang Anh had confessed to her—and with it came waves of unease. After witnessing Huong Tra's heartbreak, she had become afraid of those fleeting, intense loves—here one moment and gone the next.

Besides, she didn't want to leave Tra behind. Perhaps fate had planned it this way: Ly returns, Huy disappears—as if to preserve the friendship between her and Tra.

Maybe this time, she truly had to hurt Toan Phuong. This time, she had to give a clear, honest answer. No more ambiguity. No more stalling.

Setting the candy bag down on the desk, Ly stood up straight, looked into Toan Phuong's eyes, and gently said:

"Phương, you're a great guy. But I'm sorry… I can't accept your confession."
