It was one of those slow days for a clerk in a local patisserie. Untouched fluffy cakes are resting behind glass showcase, chilling in cold temperament. Others tasty treats and stuff for making drink of all kind were siting on rows on shelves, just asking to be used or served. Even the water droplets were lazily falling from the water tap onto the sink, right behind the window.
She was siting behind the wooden desk counter, and a filled bowl of sample chocolate pieces cookies on counter to set the mood, was her only companion during this hour. As she lean a little bit forward, she supported her head by one hand, from elbow down on desk, up to her open palm where her cheek was resting.
A brass door bell above the entry door, ringed his metallic cink/zing, as someone entering the shop.
That signal pulled her of the daydreaming to glance at customer, to hear what will be the next order. Whoever, clerk smiled softly, when it was me who entered the room. With a blushing on her cheeks, it seemed, that she fall onto a different kind of daydreaming as she stared at me with such a peaceful expression.
It changed the pace of the moment to such amount, that it make me wonder: What I chose, from the vast varieties available to me? It will be something for work? Something for play? Something for relaxation? Or something to help the passing time?
Well, I just boot up my computer, and this scene welcomed me as if I really entered cafe of a patisserie, or just a family business, for which I will gladly make a detour. But, even if it is only an art set as desktop background, it already feel like she is a good companion on my journey during a day.
