Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Lighting and Fury

For two weeks, the world whispered the same thing:

"Virex is gone."

Sector 13 buzzed with disbelief. The indestructible Aim-Assisted Android had been destroyed—by two kids.

The Thanatos Shrines, long lifeless, began to flicker with activity again. Survivors emerged from their hiding holes. Children stopped crying at night. Hope, that long-dead concept, was beginning to breathe.

And at the center of it all—Ryo and Lysa.

They moved like nightmares through chaos.

Ryo, when active, was a force of Kineta-reinforced wrath, his every blow seismic, every movement optimized. He no longer spoke much. His body was always in pain, but his eyes were sharp—almost beast-like. When his muscles weren't failing, he was hunting.

Lysa, on the other hand, was the perfect storm. Sarcastic, lethal, and strategic, she wielded her lightning like a painter with a brush. Her sigils could crash a tank or restart a heart. She was the energy where Ryo was the weight.

Together, they began clearing corrupted shrines, destroying rogue Thanatos machines, and protecting abandoned refugee camps.

People called them many names:

The Storm and the Beast.

Lightning and Fury.

Mother and Monster.

But then—Ryo collapsed.
