Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Prophecy

The entity's words hung in the air like a challenge. I felt a sense of unease, as if I was being pulled into a world beyond my understanding.

Ethan's grip on my arm tightened, his eyes locked on the entity with a mixture of fear and determination. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice firm.

The entity's gaze seemed to bore into Ethan's soul, and for a moment, I thought I saw a flicker of recognition. "The prophecy," it said, its voice low and resonant. "The prophecy is unfolding."

I felt a shiver run down my spine as the entity's words seemed to take on a life of their own. What prophecy? And what did it have to do with us?

Ted seemed to know something, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity. "Yes," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "The prophecy is true. And we are part of it."

The entity's gaze shifted to Ted, and for a moment, I thought I saw a flash of anger. "You," it said, its voice dripping with disdain. "You are but a pawn in a much larger game."

As the entity's words hung in the air, I felt a sense of realization. Ted was not the mastermind behind this operation. He was just a puppet, a pawn in a much larger game.

But what was the game? And who was pulling the strings?

The entity's gaze seemed to bore into my soul, and for a moment, I felt like I was staring into the very heart of the universe. "The prophecy is clear," it said, its voice low and resonant. "The balance of power is shifting. And the outcome is far from certain."

As the entity's words faded away, I felt a sense of trepidation. What did the future hold? And what role would we play in the unfolding drama?
