It was a peaceful night. wind blowing gently as the time was flowing. It was seemingly a normal night as if nothing special or unusual could happen. But it was a night before the days of a time when the story would go differently. It was almost time for lights out. The streetlights began to go out. One by one the Lights went out leaving behind a darkness engulfed university building. All seemed normal until suddenly a meteorite came crashing into the earth. The meteorite illuminated with a strange light made its way into a crater it created upon crashing into the ground. A strange black organic looking substance came out of it. It was a living creature. It was none other than the venom simbiote.An entity from another world. A world totally and truly different from the one we know.
Scene Break:
Location: The street:
Date and time: 2002 7am.
Hey! Stop the bus! Peter shouted as he was not able to get on the bus in time. Everyone from the inside of the bus laughed at peter for being late again. Stop the bus! Mary Jane shouted as she tried to help peter. The bus driver stopped, and Peter got in.
The bus arrived at Columbia university. Everyone got down. Peter also got down and began his way towards the building.
Midtown High seniors a man said
No wandering. Proceed direct... Knock it off. Remember, it is a privilege to be here.We're guests of Columbia University's Science Department. So behave accordingly. Let's not have a repeat of our trip to the planetarium the man added.
Suddenly an expensive looking car came. Can we drive around the corner? Harry Osborn said to the driver. Why? Harry's dad Norman Osborn asked.
The entrance is right there Norman said.
Dad, this is public school Harry answered. I can't show up in a Rolls he added.
I should trade my car for a Jetta Harry said
...because you flunked out of private school? Norman asked as he guessed.
It wasn't for me Harry answered. Of course it was Norman responded
Don't ever be ashamed of who you are Norman suggested trying to encourage Harry to think positively. I'm not ashamed of who I am Harry responded
It's just... he added.
Just what, Harry? Norman asked out of concern.
Forget it Harry said. Pete Harry called out as he noticed peter. Hi, Harry Peter responded. Hey, man. What's up? Harry asked in a friendly voice as usual at seeing his true best friend.
Won't you be needing this? Notman said as he came rushing to give Harry his backpack that he had forgotten in the car. Thanks Harry responded.
This is my father, Norman Osborn Harry said to peter as he introduced his father. I've heard so much about you Norman said.
It's an honor, Sir Peter said as he responded. Harry says you're a science whiz Norman said. I'm something of a scientist myself he added confidently.
I read your research on nanotechnology Peter said. Brilliant he added as he admired the findings.
You understood it? Norman asked out of curiosity. Yes, I wrote a paper on it Peter responded.
Impressive Norman said. Your parents must be very proud he added
I live with my aunt and uncle Peter Responded.
Hey, you two! Let's move! the man who was guiding everyone said calling out to Harry and Peter.
Nice to meet you Peter said.
Hope to see you again Norman responded.
Sure Peter agreed.
He doesn't seem so bad Peter said.
I think he wants to adopt you Harry responded.
Harry and Peter made their way into the building as the field trip continued on. They both saw a lot of things as they walked around in the location looking at various objects.
There are over 32,000 known species of spider in the world the guide said while explaining.
Peter and Harry looked at Mary jane from a distance. Hey, go talk to her. Peter suggested Harry. No you talk Harry responded.
In the original Sam raimi Spiderman movie timeline Harry was the one to initially interact with Mary Jane. But in this timeline Peter did that instead. Knowing that this was his go get'em call Peter made his way to Marry Jane.
Hey can I take a picture of your? Peter asked Mary Jane to ensure consent before taking any image. for the school magazine? He added.
Yeah sure! Mary jane responded as she appreciated the opportunity. Don't make my face look ugly she cautioned him. off course don't not Worry Peter responded.
Click! The camera sounded as Peter clicked some photos of Mary jane and some genetically modified spiders that were catching his attention.
Their conversation went on uninterrupted. While Peter Enjoyed the quality time provided by the conversation the black organism that arrived the night before with the meteorite made its way climbing up peter's hoodie he was wearing. Peter was so much engrossed in the conversation did not notice anything unusual.
eventually the black simbiote organism reached for Peter's neck. It stayed quiet and dormant for a while waiting for the opportunity to act later on. Peter continued on with the others as the field trip went on. He noticed a spider on the palm of his hand.
In the original Timeline Peter did not quite notice the radioactive spider and it managed to bite him transferring its powers and spider abilities along its unique DNA over to Peter, resulting him becoming spiderman. However, in this timeline it did not happen. Things were going to be different.
The field trip went on and finished normally without any trouble or anything unusual. That evening Peter returned home exhausted of the field trip. Welcome home Peter Aunt May welcomed him. How was you day today? Uncle Ben asked.
It was great Peter responded as he went upstairs to his room. Peter Entered his room Full of thoughts as he remembered the conversation he had with MJ. He thought excitedly as he had noticed Mary Jane starting to like him. Everything he could ask for was coming towards and within his reach. A pretty looking girlfriend he always wanted. They were getting connected even deeper. They already had a strong friendship formed by their already existing connection.
A strong connection it was. They were even neighbors. At that moment Peter wanted nothing but to be with Mary Jane. The love of his life. The simbiote got off Peter's hoodie and hid itself in his room. Peter Showered and changed before settling for a delicious and well-done dinner. Aunt May had cooked some delicious turkey for dinner.
Peter went his way down the stairs to the living room for his dinner. Peter washed his hands and sat beside Uncle Ben. They had a positively fun conversation as they had a wonderful dinner.
1 Hour later...
Peter made his way to the dumpster to throw away some trash and garbage. He saw Mary Jane coming out of her house frustrated by some argument between her parents that was affecting her.
Were you listening on to that? MJ asked.
No Peter Responded. I was here just to throw away the trash and garbage, nothing else he added. You often hear the noise caused by the argument, don't you? MJ asked
No, it's not a big deal Peter responded. I mean argument is a normal every household thing after all he added.
Anyways bye see you tomorrow Peter said before going back to his room. Peter slept on his bed at bedtime. He was lost in thought about how he could be with MJ and their future together after they get married later on in life. Peter slept fantasizing. He was so much into his dreams and fantasies that he ignored the sensation he felt as the now active Venom simbiote tried to bond with him as he was sleeping.
Peter was vulnerable and accessible to the simbiote who was commencing on his plans as he bonded with Peter in order to grant him immense power. A power that no other being could achieve, at least on earth.
Peter began to have strange Visions in his sleep as the simbiote bonding progressed. Visions of the powers he would gain, the identity he would build over time and all the changes in his life that would come to be thanks to the Venom simbiote. Peter was attentive towards such visions.
He paid close attention to them as he tried to understand them. And that he did, except for the Visions of the cost for such power.
A few Hours Later.
Peter hurry up and finish your breakfast Aunt May said to Peter who was feeling unusually drowsy that morning. Or else you'll be late for school she added.
Peter abruptly woke up confused. He was already bathed, brushed his teeth already and having breakfast, all this without being conscious of his surroundings, actions and his overall situation. He had no idea as to how he did everything without any knowledge or memory of doing it himself.
Everything ok son? Uncle Ben asked. uh yeah, Peter responded. Everything's great he added as he finished eating and made his way to the bus stop to get to school.
At school Peter was having a normal day. Nothing unexpected seemed to await. During the lunch Break unusual things started to happen. Suddenly Peter began to feel different. For some unknown reason, Peter felt strong, stronger, more energetic and alert of his surroundings.
The feeling of being stronger made him forget the unusual stuff that happened that morning about brushing his teeth and taking a bath without being conscious of it. Peter notice that he could hear a strange sound in his mind, a sound that seemed to warn him of impending danger like a sixth sense or something.
Peter noticed a puddle of water on the floor and MJ walking towards it. The sound sounded in Peter's mind warning him of what was to happen.
MJ walked over it and slipped. Everything seemed to have frozen as if time had stopped. Then out of nowhere Peter grabbed MJ in his arms and caught her plate of lunch and the food into it without spoiling anything out of it.
Here Peter offered the food, please be carefull he added. Wow MJ said Impressed by his fast reaction time and reflexes. Peter continued to enjoy his lunch. suddenly he noticed something on his wrist. Some kind of web like organic matter coming out of his skin. Peter aimed and applied pressure the usual way he does to shoot webs. Surprisingly shooting a Spider web made out of organic webbing.
Peter grabbed a plate full of salade using his web. He then pulled it towards his face. It came superfast resulting Peter to dodge it. The plate crashed into flash's clothes messing them. Peter got alarmed by his mistake and began to walk away as flash, Harry, Mary Jane and the others noticed him. Peter walked his way to his locker as fast as he could.
He suddenly heard the warning sound in his mind again and dodged a punch sent by Flash. Think you're pretty funny don't you freak? Flash asked as he was pissed off.
C'mon flash it was just an accident MJ said trying to save Peter. My fist breaking his teeth that's the accident Flash responded taking a fighting pose. I don't want to fight you flash, Peter said. You should have thought of that before you screwed up Flash responded.
Flash then delivered a devastating punch which peter to everyone's surprise dodged untouched. Flash tried another punch to the face. Peter back flipped and dodged effortlessly. Flash packed another punch which Peter caught and twisted causing flash to groan in pain. Peter then delivered another punch straight to the stomach that caused flash to crash at someone's feet. The person dropped his plate with the food that further spoilt Flash''s face and clothes.
Man Pete Harry said. You taught that guy a lesson he added. Jesus parker you really are a freak a random boy said before leaving. Sorry Harry I need to go Peter responded.
Peter stepped out of the school premises. He notice that his hand and fingertips being more and more sticky. It was the moment when he began to crawl on the wall of the building like a spider. It was this discovery of his powers that made him excited for his life. Peter reached the terrace of the building. Peter tried to shoot webs. He failed a few attempts saying different words. like Go web, up up and fly. Eventually the right amount of pressure resulted in a successful web shooting.
Peter swinged around and confirmed that he was changing and that the change was a big one in his life. Later that day Peter returned home and wen t straight to his room. Would like to eat something Pete Aunt May asked. No thanks Aunt may Peter responded. Please don't disturb me he added. Aunt May felt confused. what was the sudden strange behavior about she wondered.
With his newly found powers discovered, Peter excitement knew no bounds as he could possibly use that power to his advantage. But what will this amazing power cost him? is This power trully a gift or just the beginning of a new life for Peter. What will become of him find out in the next chapter.
