Chapter 8 - The People of the Isles and the Dream-Binding

31.The people of the isles came into being,

shaped from sands and winds,

and raised their voices in wonder at the seas and skies.

32. But none prayed unto LUMAD,

for it was said among the gods:

"He sleepeth, and none may rouse Him till the End."

33. And so the people raised prayers unto GINALU, TALIMUN, AMINUG,

and the lesser gods,

each upon their isle.

34. And the gods heard, and were pleased,

for the voices of mortals are sweet to those who fashioned the world.

35. Yet it was whispered in hidden places,

that should LUMAD stir, the world would tremble,

and the seas unmake their shores.

36. For the dream of LUMAD bindeth all things,

and His waking shall undo them all.
