The first thing Rimuru registered was the smell—burned oil, ash, and blood.
He opened his eyes on cracked asphalt, he was on a rooftop looking down, he saw flames licking at overturned cars and broken buildings.
Smoke curled in thick tendrils under harsh searchlights, distant sirens wailed, and he hears a familiar language ordering everyone to evacuate. "Japanese?"
A language familiar yet unfamiliar to him after not hearing it for years. He suddenly hears an aggressive roar as he looks down, he sees a Huge red monster with yellow eyes as he thinks to himself "A kaiju?"
Dumbfounded he questions his reality.
How did I get here? Rimuru mused his memory intact, he was the Demon Lord of the Jura Forest, Founder of the Tempest Federation Yet this city of concrete and steel was familiar, but he had grown used to the more primitive Cardinal World.
His thoughts suddenly got interrupted as he saw A squad of white-armored soldiers crouched behind a line of military trucks.
One of them fired a kind of rifle but he had never seen before kind of like those sci-fi movies as blue energy streaked out and pinged off a towering kaiju's crystalline hide. The creature's tail lashed back in response, sweeping the trucks aside like matchsticks. "Take cover! Move!" someone barked. But two troopers didn't react in time. One was sent flying against a shattered storefront; the other crumpled beneath a chunk of falling concrete. Rimuru pressed himself into shadow, cloaking his presence by manipulating light. He watched as panic rippled through the survivors—a medic scrambled for a stretcher; a marksman fired wildly at the kaiju's flank. It paused now, nostrils flaring as if sniffing the air, then reared its head and let out a bellow that rattled windowpanes blocks away. As Rimuru observed he asked Raphael to scan the battlefield. "Raphael scan my surroundings"

As Rimuru heard what Raphael reported he saw a helicopter dropping a black-haired girl down "huh?"
He saw a group of people dropping down from the side of building shooting green lasers which damaged the creature and they engaged smoke filled the area but soon after he saw a huge beam hit the creatures stomach passing through it and exploding it from the inside and he saw a huge amount of blood spray all over the place.
As rimuru looked up he thought to himself "OH COME ON!!!!!!!"
