As of now Jack was a bartered mess he used the wooden sword of the boy to patch his broken leg then he instructed the kids to run inside the building still noone moved one of the kids told him that inside where even more creatures even taller and scarier than that and the teachers tried their best to kill them all. Jack's face grew deathly pale after hearing that despair clawed to him.
So he decided to tell them to at least get to their home when a loud crash was heard in one of the buildings just outside the school, a swadowy creature looking like a star and in each ray of the star was a field rake, violently got thrown to the ground on the building above from where it fell a bloodied middle aged man could be seen.
Curses i guess i will stay here and try to protect this three boys, said boys where sitting at the ground unable to accept reality, he didn't blame them. He used his air element to at least float he wasn't used to fight like that but it was better than limbing to the ground. Thats when he felt an aura of dread approaching him after a loud crash a familiar yet utterly different creature stood before him.
Its evolution was extradionary its body seemed much more alive the tentacles seemed ten times deadlyer and it seemed to know it too. After it landed it immediately attacked driven by greed the first tentacle came much faster than before but even though it was faster the human eye could still see it, the teacher parried it with effort still he went in trying to score a hit the creature replyed with another attack this time it spawned another tentacle and attacked with both of them still the teacher wasn't scared and dogged both of them in terms of combat technic the creature didn't get better still interested just to attack as much as possible.
This time the teacher didn't let his opportunity slip and slashed it with all his might, the creature realed back lozing 5 cm of its body it opened its mouth but no sound came. The teacher didn't let up he charged in for another attack when a ball of darkness violently fallen from the second floor making a loud BOOM at contact.
Still this momentarily split of attention was all the shadowy creature needed as it unleashed 6 spikes 2 from each tentacle from behind him now that it grew stronger it was allowed more freedom as to how to use its ability. And it worked not paying attention behind him the teacher fallen headfirst into the ground still he didn't give up when the creature tried to munch his head he putted his sword in between its teeth locking both of them in a test of strength.
After a few seconds a fire arrow flew and striked the creature knocking it away from Jack, the arrow came from the same building the ball fall and it got shot from a young redhead woman who rushed to him.
Just like all the teachers she wore the ussiued attire and had her hair in a ponytail as for the creature it was the first time it looked really hurt as the insides of its body grew dimmer the attack was so strong that if it tried to sacrifice height it would get snuffed out of existence.
Thankfully it didn't need to and it simply tanked the shot immense pain coursed throughout it but it still stayed silent looking at her, it got blinded from the incadencent star within her if the other humman was the brightest star on the courtyard then her star outshine his by at least 5 times, just as it though the best way to escape the 70 cm ball of darkness came crushing at speeds that neither 3 of them could even perceive.
Still even though it came at a 95km/h speed the woman didn't get flattened or turned to a pulb instead she fallen lifelessly to the ground needless to say the ball holded back and now charged to get its reward. The shadowy creature didn't have time to think it was either now or never it could never beat the ball and if it was to slow it would definitely steal its price, that's why it charged with all the speed it could master to him disregardarding defence not that it ever cared, but now everything would get decided in this one clash.
Unfortunately for the teacher he had emotions and the creature no, it wasn't like he secretly liked her or anything scandalous like that it was just that she was his colleague a person who could drink coffee with him and talk about the crazy stuff their kids did on class that same person now lay dead on the asphalt ready to become food for a floating ball and he couldn't do anything about that and this broke him, he was close to breaking anyway.
So his block was a half-hearted mess the creature used 2 tentacles and shoted them like an X aiming to disarm him and it succed. The sword fell clattering to the ground and the creature bited of his head at the same time the ball reached the woman and lifting her lifeless body up it opened its mouth and eated her.
Coincidentally both of them eated them simultaneously evolving at the same time both of them reaching the apex of their power.
