Chapter 1 - How It All Started

Uzezi was a young girl learning fashion design as an apprentice at Okere Ugborikoko Road. Despite still being in training, she had already started sewing for clients and making good money from her work. Her account balance grew steadily, and she was proud of her progress. Life was looking good, and she was genuinely happy with how far she had come.

As December approached, she became more alert. The festive season often came with a rush — and with it, carelessness. People were known to lose their gadgets, money, and ATM cards. She had heard countless stories of how individuals were victims of scams and tricks, falling prey to what she called the dreaded "December breakfast" — a heartbreaking experience no one ever wants to have.

Tales of theft involving armed bail-ups, "touch and follow," "talk and follow," and even strange tricks using magic ice or stones circulated every year. These were the tools used to rob people and ruin their celebrations.

But not Uzezi. She stayed vigilant, avoided unnecessary movements, and protected her belongings. While others were being served "December breakfast," Uzezi remained focused and untouched.
