Octavia is on the floor, clutching her quickly reddening cheek.
"Don't call me!" Darren's mother screeched at her son.
"Is this what you want to trade your future for? A slut that is dating other men? The match your father worked so hard to make since you were kids so you would be together and you're going to flush it all away. All for what?" His mother screamed at him.
"You would never understand mother. I love Octavia. I want nothing more than to be with her. I would rather stay with her in bad conditions than be stuck in a loveless marriage." He said helping Octavia to rise. She pushed his hands away moving to a corner.
"People like her," She said, stabbing a finger in Octavia's direction, "are just following you for your money. The riches that we have. She's a gold digger. She doesn't love you." She shouted.
Darrenymouth tightened as he looked at his mother and he looked back at Octavia.
"Nora." Darren's mother flashed a smile at Nora going to clutch her hands.
