Chapter 287 - Chapter 287: Crane Sage Mode?

"This power…"

Sensing the sudden surge of strength radiating from Kiyosuke, even Ōtsutsuki Urashiki's expression changed. But then he laughed.

"So this is the unique power of this planet? Interesting! Last time, there was also a brat who used something similar."

Muttering to himself, he struck with brutal force and clashed with Kiyosuke.

Both sides had powered up, their strength rising to a whole new level. The destructive force of their one-on-one battle was staggering.

In the distance, Boruto and Naruto kept watching.

Seeing Kiyosuke unleash such terrifying might, Boruto swallowed hard.

"Was Kiyosuke-sama always this strong?"

Naruto said, "This is the first time I've seen Kiyosuke-san this powerful too. As expected… he really has techniques he never taught me. Man, I want to be this strong as well!"

No, you're already strong enough for the future!

Boruto thought silently, staring at the distant battle. Kiyosuke and Urashiki were only trading taijutsu blows, yet the crashes of impact echoed all the way over here.

"Hah!!!"

Kiyosuke planted his feet on the ground, twisted his waist, and hurled a punch.

Urashiki reflexively blocked with his hand—but the instant he made contact, blazing hot flames burst from Kiyosuke's fist, engulfing him.

"Arghhh!"

The extreme heat seared his body, forcing a cry of anguish from his throat.

On his forehead, the golden Rinnegan slowly opened, absorbing the flames.

With the golden Rinnegan, he no longer needed those red fishing hooks to absorb chakra. That ability had just saved his life.

Pulling back, he quickly widened the distance from Kiyosuke.

"You're really no small threat… Tell me, how did you even die?"

With power like this, why hadn't anyone in the future seen such a man?

"Who knows?"

Kiyosuke shrugged indifferently. Above them, dark clouds began to gather.

Urashiki spread his arms like wings, his body soaring into the sky like a great white bird. His speed was so fast it nearly surpassed the eye, fast enough that even an adult Sasuke had to admit it—too fast!

But through pure perception, Kiyosuke caught Urashiki's charge head-on. Planting himself firmly on the ground, his legs dug deep into the earth as he grabbed hold of the bird-man's two wings.

"Kiyosuke!"

Jiraiya rushed in to help, his long white hair writhing as if alive, suddenly snaring Urashiki.

"Wild Lion's Mane Jutsu!"

He bound Urashiki down, creating a brief opening for Kiyosuke.

Seizing the chance, Kiyosuke drove his fist forward and sent Urashiki flying.

At the same time, he hurled a kunai after the airborne Ōtsutsuki.

"Amenotejikara!"

Adult Sasuke switched places with the kunai in an instant. His Kusanagi sword, wreathed in black flames, came slashing down.

Boom!

Urashiki slammed hard into the ground, coughing up blood. Black flames licked at his shoulder—but he quickly absorbed them. Even the wound carved by Sasuke's blade vanished without a trace.

He floated slowly back into the air, looking down coldly at the three below.

"In my eyes, the three of you are nothing. Even with such overwhelming power, you're still the same. What a waste. So much chakra, and yet it belongs to the likes of you… especially you."

His gaze fixed on Kiyosuke.

He could see it—Kiyosuke was still holding back a formidable chakra. If unleashed, even Urashiki would have to retreat three steps.

He could not allow that power to be released.

From his palm, a black rod emerged, its substance resembling steel, though not quite.

Adult Sasuke immediately warned,

"Don't let that black rod touch you! If it does, you won't be able to move."

Even as he spoke, Urashiki lunged at him. Of everyone present, Kiyosuke was the toughest opponent—but Sasuke posed the greatest threat. This man had disrupted his plans again and again, and Urashiki's resentment had only piled up. Now was the time to settle both old and new grudges.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Sparks burst as the Kusanagi sword clashed against the black rod. Urashiki's taijutsu was strong, but in pure technique he was far beneath Sasuke.

He relied only on brute force and speed to compensate for his lack of finesse. Against adult Sasuke, he fought with raw power, reflexes, and momentum.

Though the Ōtsutsuki clan possessed their own martial traditions, Urashiki had not trained them much. His fighting style made it clear: he survived only because of his superior physical gifts, which barely allowed him to keep pace with fighters like Kiyosuke.

Their bodies were blessed beyond measure. Their abilities, combined with chakra fruits, had made the Ōtsutsuki clan supreme beings across the stars—capable of destroying worlds, planting Divine Trees, and harvesting chakra fruits at will.

Their reincarnation techniques were unparalleled. Loved by the cosmos itself, they were nothing but thieves, cosmic bandits of the highest order.

Really, in their past lives, they must have been gamers grinding the stars for loot.

"Fire Style: Majestic Dragon Fire Jutsu!!!"

Sasuke spewed forth a colossal dragon of flames. Urashiki dodged lightly, sneering.

"Attacks like that? Useless. You can't even singe my robes."

Sasuke only smiled, saying nothing. The fiery dragon shot upward into the clouds, summoning a drizzle of rain.

"Hahahahaha…"

Boom!

Even as Urashiki laughed, Kiyosuke suddenly closed in and drove a crushing kick into him, sending him skidding across the ground and leaving a massive trench.

"Too much talk!"

"Damn! I'll slaughter you all!"

Urashiki shot back into the air.

His palm faced Kiyosuke, unleashing a pale violet beam of light that blasted into him before he could evade.

The strike landed too quickly. Even though Kiyosuke sensed it a heartbeat before, dodging was impossible.

The impact rocked his body, blood spilling from his mouth. He had taken a real hit.

The same attack struck both Jiraiya and adult Sasuke.

"Hahahaha! Struggle all you like! Watching you flail in despair is the only joy I need! Dance for me!!!"

Urashiki's face twisted in a frenzy, drunk on cruelty. He could hardly wait to see the three of them die wretchedly.

But forcing himself upright, Kiyosuke laughed instead.

"Oi, oi… Don't underestimate human resolve. That's something you aliens will never understand."

"Human resolve? And what good is that supposed to do?" Urashiki sneered, utterly dismissive.

That kind of talk was nothing but empty words—meaningless.

"Which is exactly why you don't get it!"

"I don't need to. Humans should crawl like insects on the ground, gazing up at us in awe. That's the natural order."
