Chapter 233 - Chapter 233: Magic Time Is Over, Now It's Physics Time

The perspective shifts back to Elysia, who stands with her bow drawn, her pink eyes scanning the smoke-filled area, wary of the monster within.

Suddenly, a furious roar erupts: "Damn it, Pride! You arrogant bastard! Why aren't you helping me deal with this stinky pink-haired brat? What the hell are you doing over there?!"

Wrath, whom Elysia had kicked flying moments before, struggles to his feet. His body undergoes a grotesque transformation: his thick carapace glows crimson, massive demonic wings sprout from his back, curved horns emerge from his head, and his feet morph into cloven hooves.

The term "Neither Fish nor Fowl" hardly does justice to this abomination. To Elysia, Wrath now resembled a creature from a biological evolution game with limitless customization options, where someone had simply slapped on every available body part without regard for coherence or compatibility.

Wrath's back is now a chaotic mass of two arms, two dragonfly wings, and two demonic wings, all crammed together. Elysia wonders if any of the wings can even flap properly in such a crowded configuration.

But more than Wrath's bizarre appearance, Elysia is preoccupied by the insult he just hurled.

"Stin-... stinky pink-haired brat?!" Elysia froze, stunned. It took her a few seconds to realize the insult was directed at her.

Bewilderment and shock quickly gave way to anger. Even with her usually gentle temperament, she frowned and pursed her lips into a pout. Yet she didn't redirect her bow to attack Wrath; her attention remained fixed on the swirling smoke.

Though genuinely irritated, she refused to lose her composure. In the next instant, Pride burst from the smoke, its already massive form swollen even larger.

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!

Each earth-shaking step left a clear, gigantic paw print in the ground. The lion-serpent-wolf-headed monster lunged at the nearest White Tower staff. Despite its bulk, it moved with shocking speed—like an elephant with the agility of a cheetah, both swift and deadly.

But Elysia's arrows were faster. Not a single shot, but a dense volley slammed into the ground ahead of Pride. The crystal projectiles rapidly fused upward, forming a thin, shimmering pink wall, blocking the monster's path.

Boom! Pride crashed headfirst into the pink crystal wall with a deafening, explosive impact. The monstrous creature, towering over ten meters tall, collided with a barrier barely a few centimeters thick. Yet, defying all logic, the pink crystal remained unscathed, while all three of Pride's heads were smashed open and bleeding profusely, and many of his white scales cracked.

Wrath surged back toward Elysia. Ignoring all sense of aerodynamics, his two pairs of wings beat wildly behind him, propelling him forward with awkward but effective force. Though the flapping made it difficult to aim his rear arms, he wielded four spears in his front hands, thrusting them relentlessly at Elysia.

Frankly, just fighting this thing—just looking at it—was enough to drive anyone insane. It was simply too hideous!

Elysia frowned, enduring the psychological assault from the enemy's utterly repulsive appearance while swiftly retreating to evade Wrath's physical attacks.

For now, these two foes posed only a minor challenge to Elysia. She could easily handle them if she weren't being so greedy.

Faced with Wrath's furious pursuit, Elysia didn't retaliate. Instead, she continued firing arrows at Pride's arrogant position in the distance, effectively pinning him down.

The surrounding civilians had traveled great distances to hear her speech—her most loyal supporters. After a month of working alongside the White Tower staff, Elysia knew them all by name. They were all good people, and she wanted to minimize casualties during the attack.

"Everyone, cover the civilians' orderly evacuation! Don't engage! This enemy is beyond our capabilities—leave it to Lady Elysia!" Baldy Burke arrived on the battlefield and tossed a palm-sized pouch into the air.

The pouch burst open, releasing a cloud of shimmering blue dust that slowly drifted downward. Anyone touched by the powder felt their body lighten, their movements becoming swifter.

Burke understood the battlefield perfectly: they were all just liabilities. The best way to help Elysia was to clear the area completely, giving her room to maneuver.

And that proved true. With a slight tilt of her head, Elysia dodged Wrath's sweeping spear thrust. Her toes barely touched the ground as she floated gracefully backward.

Wrath, with his four arms and four guns, unleashed a relentless barrage of attacks, each shot following the last without pause. His movements blurred into afterimages, yet Elysia moved with cheat-like precision, effortlessly dodging every shot with only the slightest shifts in her stance.

Remarkably, she was even wearing high heels—footwear she had once vehemently resisted. Now, she had grown so accustomed to them that she could nimbly evade attacks in combat while maintaining her balance.

Of course, Elysia's exceptional physical prowess also played a significant role in her agility.

Another arrow streaked through the air, tracing a graceful arc like a shooting star before plunging into the lion head atop Pride's skull, piercing it clean through.

In an instant, Elysia's bow vanished, replaced by an ornate, dazzling pink staff.

"Damn it!" Wrath cursed inwardly, sensing danger. He remembered seeing Elysia use this staff in the ability demonstration video—the same one she had wielded when entering that strange purple space and firing a beam of light to shatter the portal.

With a furious roar, Wrath's entire body erupted in searing flames. His cloven hooves struck the ground, instantly branding dark, charred imprints into the earth.

Wrath surged forward with a speed far surpassing his previous bursts, pouring nearly every ounce of his strength into this single, ferocious lunge at Elysia.

I absolutely can't let her use that pink energy cannon, or else...

But just as Wrath thought this, he watched in disbelief as Elysia raised her staff high above her head and swung it down on him with brutal force.

Wrath: "Huh?!"

A dull thud followed immediately: Duang—!

As mentioned before, the staff's shape was purely aesthetic. In reality, it was still a pink crystal created by Elysia—incredibly hard and surprisingly effective as a melee weapon.

Hmmm, this reminded Elysia of a meme she'd seen in her previous life:

Magic time's over, it's physics time now

(TL Note: Essentially a meme where you forgo the magical and fantastical elements and just use the most simple method. Magic
