Old Madam Tang blushed at Pei Shu'er's mention of "making things difficult for a young girl."

But humans are like this; she thinks of fairness normally.

However, when it comes to her own son's life or death, her son's right or wrong becomes less important than their lives.

She sighed, "Shu'er, Grandma thought you would understand, your uncle and aunt's family are all dying of thirst."

Pei Shu'er glanced deeply at Old Madam Tang.

Tang Peilin sneered, "Mother, Pei Shu'er has always been an outsider. Now that she has gained power, she is taking the opportunity to retaliate against us. She can spare water for even the servants, but she refuses to share with us from the main house. This clearly means she doesn't see us as family."

Those unaware might think the main house was as powerless as a white lotus blossom, little knowing how vicious they had been before.

Some onlookers also felt that Pei Shu'er was hard-hearted; after all, they were relatives.
