Chapter 571 - Chapter 346: If Andrew Is Alone, Mom Will Feel Heartache [Second Update]

The night fell, and the sky was pitch black.

Street lamps lit up in the neighborhood, their light was dim and weak, with dark areas between each lamp.

The rain had lessened somewhat, pattering on the ground like needles in the light, pulling endlessly.

Andrew Hughes held a small umbrella, walking slowly down the road, avoiding puddles, but occasionally stepping on loose tiles, splashing himself with water.

He was holding an umbrella with one hand and a phone with the other, talking on a call.

"I just got out of school, I'm on my way home."

He spoke distinctly.

"Is your grandpa home?" Camilo Nogueira's voice on the phone was consistently low and gentle.

"No."

Andrew Hughes replied.

Camilo Nogueira asked curiously, "Are you alone?"

Glancing at the building where his home was, seeing no lights, Andrew Hughes pursed his lips, quickening his pace a little, while still answering, "My mom is also here."

Camilo Nogueira was slightly surprised, "Your mom is back?"

"Yes."
