Nora Scott followed the direction Pedro Langley gave to find the car parked on the roadside. As she got closer, she saw him leisurely seated in the back seat, his right arm lazily resting on the window ledge.
"Sleep yourself to death."
Approaching the back door of the car, Nora reached in and playfully tousled Pedro's handsome face.
Pedro chuckled casually, held her hand, and said with a smile, "My lady performed so excellently, I wanted to see you first thing."
"Smooth talker."
Nora smiled wryly, lightly flicking her fingers against his forehead.
Pedro released her, pulled the car door open, and scooted over, saying, "Please, my lady, get in."
Nora bent down to get in, and once the door closed, she snuggled into Pedro's arms.
"I'm exhausted."
Burying her face in Pedro's embrace, Nora rubbed her cheek against him, not minding leaving her makeup on.
