The broadcaster's voice was devoid of emotion, not specially modified, but still had a certain degree of recognizability. Having been with Pedro Langley for so long, Nora Scott was tempted by his voice all the time, so she recognized it as soon as he spoke.
The four people opposite just assumed that the announcer had changed and didn't pay much attention to it. Jerry Yates was participating in the recording for the first time, couldn't hear clearly, and didn't give it much thought.
Nora Scott pinched her eyebrows, feeling both amused and exasperated.
—It made her want to finish the recording as soon as possible.
Jerry Yates wandered around the room.
After a while, he heard Nora Scott lift the blanket and sit on the bed, almost jumping to the corner of the wall in fright. He was on high alert, "What are you doing?"
"Sleeping."
She lay down, covered herself with the blanket, and really went to sleep just like that.
