As soon as the door opened, Marcus Shaw was right there, looking tired with messy hair and wearing a loose white T-shirt.
"Sis?"
Hearing the sound, Marcus lifted his eyes in confusion, and upon seeing Nora Scott, he looked surprised.
"Has that annoying Lisa left?" Nora asked an unexpected question.
"Ah," thinking of Lisa, Marcus paused for half a second, then nodded, "Yeah."
Ernesto Scott never liked Lisa; she loved to gossip and had been caught several times by Ernesto. But considering her many years of service to the family, he had tolerated her.
Now, with the divorce from Alma Ferreira and Sophie and Marcus rarely home, coupled with some overstepping actions by Lisa, Ernesto finally let her go.
They have a new housekeeper now, someone honest, diligent, not very talkative, and quite nice to Marcus.
"Are you the only one at home?"
"Sis..." Marcus corrected himself, "Nora's not back, and dad went with the police to 'visit' Marshall Ferreira in the hospital."
