The person did listen to reason, so he stopped grumbling.
However, as time went by and when it was completely dark without any sign of the convoy, the boss directly swore: "Damn it, who the hell gave out the information?"
Someone tentatively asked, "Big Brother, should we keep waiting?"
The man shouted, with a hint of venting, "What else can we do if we don't wait? What if they come at this time, and we miss out on the opportunity?"
But they didn't know they would be stuck here for a whole day, with only a meal's worth of food, and now everyone's so hungry their stomachs are growling.
The man called "Big Brother" could only comfort everyone: "Hold on a little longer, once we get this done, you can feast on whatever you like in the future."
Hearing this, everyone's spirits rose again.
But they waited until the moon was high in the sky, and still, the convoy didn't show up. One by one, they were so hungry they looked like withered eggplants, drooping and listless.
