In a mysterious small town thousands of kilometers west of the Tian Dou Empire, five towering figures stood at a distance, silently observing the only small tavern in the center of the town.
These five were Yang Xiong, Tang Xiao, Tang Hao, Sword Elder, and Yang Wudi. This small tavern was the entrance to the Road of Slaughter.
Yang Xiong glanced at Tang Xiao and Tang Hao: "Lord Tang Xiao, it's not too late to back out now. Once we make a move in Slaughter City, things won't be easily resolved. Also, remember our agreement."
Tang Xiao's face remained expressionless: "It's fine. We've come this far—we can't just leave our grandfather in this state."
Yang Xiong said nothing further. The five of them strode directly into the small tavern.
Inside the tavern, there were originally two waiters and some customers. The customers, each holding a Bloody Mary, looked ferocious but also filled with fear in their eyes.
The waiter looked at the five newcomers with a puzzled expression: "Gentlemen, would you like something?"
Yang Xiong stepped forward, and an aura of countless blood-red sword qi erupted from his body. In an instant, everyone present was killed, including the two waiters, whose heads were severed from their bodies.
The five quickly found a hidden passageway in the tavern. The tunnel was pitch-black, and even spiritual power struggled to penetrate its depths.
The five exchanged glances before leaping into the tunnel without hesitation.
After a brief moment of dizziness, Yang Xiong felt a sense of weightlessness, followed by the sensation of touching solid ground.
Tang Xiao and the others were not far from Yang Xiong. However, it seemed that this tunnel was no ordinary passage—it appeared to exist in some kind of independent space, completely isolating them from the tavern above.
After fumbling through the darkness for over ten minutes, the five finally saw a faint light ahead—it was likely the true entrance to Slaughter City.
Yang Xiong glanced at Tang Hao: "Proceed as planned."
Tang Hao nodded: "If anything happens, we'll appear immediately."
Yang Xiong and Yang Wudi walked straight into the light gate without looking back. As expected, the black-veiled maiden from Slaughter City once again appeared before Yang Xiong.
The black-veiled maiden bowed respectfully: "Respected Slaughter God, welcome back to Slaughter City. However, the gentleman beside you is probably unwelcome here."
Behind the black-veiled maiden stood a group of people, led by a knight clad in black armor.
Yang Xiong spoke indifferently: "Sorry, this is my friend. He admires the Slaughter King and wanted to come along to take a look."
The black-veiled maiden smiled faintly: "Slaughter God, I apologize, but the Slaughter King is currently occupied. If your friend wishes to enter Slaughter City, please follow the normal procedures."
Yang Xiong's expression darkened: "Are you mistaken about something? My friend and I are here to see the Slaughter King. Are you trying to block our way?"
The black-veiled maiden's face paled. This man before her was the infamous Slaughter God who had killed countless people in Slaughter City. To him, killing was as effortless as squashing an ant.
The terrifying knight behind her bellowed angrily: "How dare you show such disrespect to the great Slaughter King! Do you even know where you are?"
Yang Xiong glanced casually at the terrifying knight. His eyes turned crimson, and an overwhelming aura of killing intent erupted from his body, enveloping the area within a hundred meters in a red glow.
Before the terrifying knight could say another word, Yang Wudi roared furiously: "How dare you disrespect the Slaughter God! You're courting death!"
Yang Wudi leapt forward, his massive Soul-Piercing Spear thrusting directly at the knight. Despite the knight's formidable strength, Yang Wudi was a Title Douluo. This spear strike completely ignored the knight's defenses, piercing through both him and his horse in one clean motion.
Before anyone could react, Yang Wudi had already returned to Yang Xiong's side. Killing a terrifying knight was as simple as slaughtering a chicken.
Whether it was the surrounding patrolling enforcers or the black-veiled maiden, their eyes were now filled with terror. As enforcers of Slaughter City, they held a prestigious position within the city. They were accustomed to witnessing the brutal killings among the fallen, but no one had ever dared to attack them directly.
They couldn't believe that Yang Xiong had killed the leader of the enforcers without hesitation—an unprecedented act.
Yang Xiong spoke indifferently: "You're not in a position to decide. Go inform the Slaughter King. I suggest you hurry—if you delay any longer, I fear my friend might kill everyone around you."
The black-veiled maiden's face paled: "Respected Slaughter God, please calm your anger. I will immediately seek permission from the Slaughter King."
With that, the black-veiled maiden hastily departed, leaving the remaining enforcers trembling where they stood, clearly terrified that Yang Xiong might suddenly strike them down.
At this moment, two figures shot out from the darkness, appearing before the group of enforcers. Judging by their strength, these two were clearly high-ranking enforcers of Slaughter City.
One was stout, the other thin. Both appeared to be quite old, and their bodies emanated a strong aura of killing intent—they were likely individuals who had once wreaked havoc in the Hell Slaughter Arena.
The stout elder glared at Yang Xiong and roared: "How dare you, Slaughter God! After leaving Slaughter City, how dare you return and recklessly slaughter our enforcers, and even bring outsiders with you? What do you want?"
Yang Xiong sneered: "I just want to bring my friend to see the Slaughter King. Do you two have an issue with that?"
The stout elder snorted coldly: "Slaughter God, don't think that surviving the Hell Road gives you the right to act recklessly. If not for the rules of Slaughter City forbidding us from attacking those with over fifty victories in the Hell Slaughter Arena, you would have died at our hands long ago."
"Today, you dare to provoke us? Then let us show you the true cruelty of Slaughter City. It's not a place you young upstarts can trifle with."
Both elders then revealed their martial souls and soul rings. Surprisingly, both were nine-ring-level Title Douluos, with soul ring configurations of two yellow, two purple, and five black rings.
Clearly, these two were the legendary Title Douluo-level enforcers of Slaughter City—the true upper echelons of the enforcement corps.
The stout elder's martial soul was a Ghost Tiger, while the thin elder's martial soul was a Black Snake. Their attributes were perfectly suited to Slaughter City.
Yang Wudi's face darkened: "So it's you two rats hiding in Slaughter City."
The Ghost Tiger Title Douluo sneered disdainfully: "I thought who it was—so it's Yang Wudi, the former outer sect elder of the Hao Tian Sect. Unfortunately, the Hao Tian Sect has long gone into seclusion, and your Breaking Clan was abandoned by them. Without backing, how dare you trespass into Slaughter City?"
Yang Xiong furrowed his brow: "Old Goat, do you know these two?"
A flicker of hatred appeared in Yang Wudi's eyes: "These two were notorious murderers on the continent, guilty of heinous crimes. They mysteriously disappeared years ago—I never imagined they'd be hiding in Slaughter City, clinging to life."
"The Ghost Tiger Title Douluo's name is Lin Kui. He hails from the Star Luo Empire and seems to have ties to the Black Tiger Sect. However, he committed grave crimes in the Star Luo Empire and was wanted by them, eventually disappearing without a trace."
"As for the Black Snake Title Douluo, he originated from the Spirit Hall. This vile man murdered innocents, raped, and pillaged. He was wanted by the previous Pope and reportedly killed by an elder of the Spirit Hall—but it seems he faked his death and hid here in Slaughter City. It appears the Spirit Hall truly harbors filth."
"When they were wanted, they were only Soul Sages. I never imagined they'd break through to become Title Douluos after all these years. Slaughter City must hold secrets more profound than we thought."
Yang Xiong sneered: "Just two rats—nothing special."
The two elders were infuriated by Yang Xiong's words and charged toward him, intent on killing him.
But Yang Xiong's expression turned icy. His body turned golden, and five black and three red soul rings appeared around him, accompanied by a blood-red glow emanating from his body.
Under the influence of this blood-red glow, even the previously arrogant Title Douluos were now visibly shocked.
Though they were enforcers of Slaughter City and could use soul skills, under Yang Xiong's Killing God Domain, their abilities seemed entirely suppressed.
Before they could react, Yang Xiong clenched his fists and broke through their defenses, landing direct blows on both of them. The two Title Douluos were sent flying.
By now, Yang Xiong's absolute strength rivaled that of a Level 97 Title Douluo, and he could even contend with a Level 98 Title Douluo. These newly minted Title Douluo enforcers were nothing to him.
The Ghost Tiger Title Douluo spat out a trickle of blood, his eyes filled with terror: "How is this possible? Your Killing God Domain is powerful, but how can it restrict my soul skills?"
Yang Xiong sneered: "Though you two can use soul skills, they weren't earned by surviving the Hell Road yourselves—they were granted to you by the Slaughter King. What are you before the true Slaughter God?"
The two Title Douluos were astonished. They had witnessed Yang Xiong traverse the Hell Road years ago when he was merely a Soul King. They never imagined that in just a few short years, he would reach the peak Soul Ancestor level and possess such overwhelming strength.
Especially terrifying were Yang Xiong's three blood-red soul rings, which exerted immense pressure on them.
Yang Xiong sneered: "Just two ants hiding in Slaughter City, barely clinging to life these past few years. Do you really think the Slaughter King would keep feeding you two dogs?"
Yang Xiong clearly felt that these two Title Douluos were lacking in strength. Though they had somehow broken through to the Title Douluo level, the Slaughter King had lifted their restrictions on soul skills. However, the Killing God Domain naturally countered their abilities—this was, after all, Slaughter City.
Yang Xiong stared coldly into the shadows: "Slaughter King, since you're already here, stop hiding. It's getting boring."
