The brother and sister eagerly started walking back.

The brother and sister ran in the direction of the voice.
When they got closer, they found it was an old man who had fallen down the slope.
The old man likely had broken his leg, sitting on the ground groaning loudly with pain.
Li Yuzhu shouted down the slope, "Grandpa, we'll rescue you!"
The old man said joyfully, "Thank you so much, I'm from Taohua River Village down the mountain, my son is the village chief. If you save me, I'll make sure my son repays you well."
Li Xing'an was delighted, whispering to Li Yuzhu, "He's the family of the village chief, that's a noble person. Let's rescue him quickly! In the future, we can ask the village chief for help."
Li Yuzhu nodded, "Yes, let's rescue him quickly."
Even if he wasn't the village chief's family, just a regular villager, by connecting with the villagers, they could find a safe place.
The bottom of the slope was about five to six meters deep; getting down was easier than getting up.
Rescuing him became a problem.
Li Yuzhu looked around and her eyes lit up. She smiled and said, "I have an idea, look, those vines!"
The nearby big trees had many vines entwined around them.
Some were over ten meters long, more than enough to rescue someone.
"Vines? Are they sturdy?" Li Xing'an looked at the vines, frowning.
"Sturdy!" Li Yuzhu beckoned, "Come with me."
She lifted her skirt and ran towards a big tree.
The two pulled down three vines and combined them into a thick rope.
Li Xing'an and Li Yuzhu pulled at it and didn't break it, showing it was quite sturdy.
Li Yuzhu dragged the vine rope to the tree beside the slope and tied it to the root.
She shouted down the slope, "Grandpa, tie the vine around your waist and hold on tight, we will pull you up."
Li Xing'an added a reminder, "Don't look down, look up."
The length of the vine dangled just alongside the old man.
"Such clever kids," the old man jiggled the vine and said with a smile.
He wrapped the vine around his waist and shouted to the two, "Alright, you can pull me up now."
"One, two, one, two," the two kids with growling stomachs pulled together to lift the old man up the dirt slope.
"Grandpa, are you okay?" Li Yuzhu asked again.
Li Xing'an, having exerted much effort, sat to the side panting heavily.
The old man, upon reaching the top, kept holding his left leg.
"Injured, but it's okay, I can still walk," the old man said with a friendly smile.
Li Xing'an untied the vine around the old man, looking at his leg, "I think this leg is quite injured."
"Shall I take a look?" Li Yuzhu offered, "I know a bit about medicine."
Li Xing'an was surprised, "Third Sister? When did you learn medicine? How come I didn't know?"
