When Ji Yen turned around, the demon monkey made some sign. It was asking to Ji Yen to teach him the demon beast language.
"I can not teach you that." Ji Yen shook his head to reject.
Seeing that, the demon monkey looked a little dejected. But before it could show anymore dejected look, Ji Yen said something.
"OK. I can teach you the demon beast language." Ji Yen said.
Hearing the words, the demon monkey showed a delighted look. Then, it looked at Ji Yen deeply. Because it knows to get something from someone, you must give them something.

Seeing the data of the Red Tail Monkey, Ji Yen finally realized why the monkey did not start fighting him.
If it was another demon beast, they would start fighting as soon as Ji Yen enters the territory.
The reason of the Red Tail Monkey not attacking him was because it was one the most calm demon beast.
Ji Yen felt he was lucky, he chose the demon monkey instead of that solitary tiger. Who knows what would have happened if he went to the tiger instead of the monkey.

The scene was of a hawk chasing a little bird. Well the scene was perfectly normal in the forest. Except the little bird was the sparrow he saw before. His sibling sparrow.
Ji Yen was about to pass them, when he decided to help the sparrow one last time out of kindness (or paying back kindness).
Ji Yen decided to help because the sparrow was the one who secretly left some food for him, when their parents abandoned Ji Yen. They were just about a month old at that time.
As the hawk was chasing the sparrow, a sharp sound echoed in the air. The sound was accompanied with demonic beast qi.
So, both the little sparrow and the hawk looked up. And they saw their king of the territory. Both of them bow with their head.
Ji Yen gently landed on the ground. Then he looked at both of them and signaled the hawk to leave.
The hawk showed a little unwilling expression but ultimately it left.
After the hawk left, Ji Yen looked at the little sparrow for a bit. And he was about to leave when he suddenly realized he overlooked the previous scene of the hawk chasing the sparrow. He overlooked a key point. And that is the speed of the sparrow.
Even though the hawk was larger and faster than normal wild sparrow, it could not catch the little sparrow.
Thinking of that, Ji Yen looked at the sparrow deeply and he saw some odd appearance on the sparrow that doesn't look like that of an wild sparrow.

He decided to take him under his wing, like literally. He decided to make him a follower. It was to repay the kindness and as well as out of necessity.
The little sparrow followed Ji Yen obediently. It knows it can not escape the king, even if it could escape the hawk.
Ji Yen flew slowly in the air and just behind him was the sparrow.
When it was about a 50 meters away from the cave, Ji Yen signaled the sparrow to land.
After landing, both of them walling towards the cave ( more precisely it was Ji Yen walking and the sparrow flying to follow him).
When both of them are about 10 meters away from the cave, Ji Yen carved out a hole in one the tree ear the cave. He carved out the hole using his feather blade.
And he turned to look at the sparrow with a face thats says, 'This will be your home from now on.'
Then, he turned and walked inside his cave.
The sparrow chirped and flew up to the tree hole and entered inside it.
Ji Yen knew the chirping. He could understand it because he was and is a sparrow.
The chirping was saying 'Thank You'.
