Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 - C.C.

There's no need for an introduction to a chat group.

Even if you slap on "Multiverse" at the front, it just means the user base is bigger.

It was like a rooster laying an egg—an impossibility turned reality. Nagami was ecstatic, grinning like a kid who just had his first bite of spicy mapo tofu.

But as the chat group finished loading and the flood of information surged into his mind, he gradually calmed down.

Sure, the terms were as long and tedious as any software agreement, but there was no denying their importance.

As Nagami carefully read through the details, his expression shifted—first from joy to seriousness, then from seriousness to pure confusion.

"Due to the previous three group admins perishing in this group, we have exchanged some source code with a neighboring chat group to obtain three lottery draws. Please use them wisely and, most importantly, stay alive."

Nagami muttered the last line aloud, his face stiffening.

Should he just lay down and accept his fate?

Three admins had already died?! What kind of cursed chat group was this? It was practically a deathtrap!

And exchanging source code for lottery draws…

Nagami narrowed his eyes. Why did this whole thing reek of incompetence?

Ignoring the three floating white light spheres on the chat interface, he set aside the lottery for later.

First, he needed to understand the chat group's functions.

Whether it was the excitement of a golden opportunity or the looming threat of danger, the most important thing right now was to figure out his so-called "cheat ability."

As he browsed through the different modules, his anticipation grew.

The chat group actually had a travel function! Although it was currently locked due to a lack of members, it was still hope!

Other than that, it functioned like any other messaging app he had used in his past life—there was a daily check-in system for earning points, a red packet feature, and even a group marketplace.

His balance? A solid zero points. But that didn't stop him from clicking into the marketplace, where only two items were available:

———————————————————————

[Tongue of a Thousand Worlds]

Description: Grants the ability to understand and speak all non-mystical languages across the multiverse.

Price: 100 points

(Admin privilege: Free)

———————————————————————

[Destined One]

Description: Allows the user to manifest the unique powers of their current world.

Price: Varies based on the user's strength

(Admin privilege: Free)

———————————————————————

Future items… pending.

Seeing the words "admin privilege: free," Nagami took a deep breath. His eyes gleamed with excitement.

Free stuff!

Unlike the apparent uselessness of the chat group itself, these two abilities were undeniably valuable.

Without hesitation, Nagami activated both items with a single thought and waited.

One minute passed…

Five minutes passed…

The moonlight remained bright, the wind whispering softly outside.

Nagami sat in silence, confusion creeping onto his face.

Where the hell are my powers?!

With a sinking feeling, he grabbed his phone, typed in some Russian, and hit search.

As the video played, he swallowed back the string of colorful curses rising in his throat.

The Russian news broadcast, which previously sounded like an arcane incantation, was now as clear and comprehensible as his native tongue.

The chat group worked, but apparently, it wasn't big on flashy effects.

The second ability was harder to test—there was no multiverse travel yet, and he had no special powers to awaken.

The chat group had already sent invitations across the endless dimensions.

Eventually, others would join. Until then, the only help it could provide were the two free items, which he had already claimed.

And now… it was time for the main event.

Nagami turned his gaze to the three floating light spheres.

They pulsed with shimmering, snaking trails of energy, like a thousand tiny serpents weaving through their cores.

The multiverse was vast—he knew this chat group wasn't the only one of its kind.

But why did his chat group look so lackluster compared to others he'd seen in stories?

Whatever. Having one at all was already a miracle.

Nagami steadied his nerves. When it came to gacha, his faith was unshakable.

This is the self-discipline of a true luck god.

Ever heard of a four-gold pull in a single roll of Genshin? Or a completely free-to-play account in Honkai Impact where all his favorite characters were fully maxed out?

But despite his past fortune, anxiety still gnawed at him. To prepare, he decided to seek some divine guidance.

Opening his bedside drawer, he pulled out a deck of tarot cards—Rota's deck.

He didn't bother shuffling; the cards were already randomized. Drawing one at random, he flipped it over.

The Fool.

A young traveler, clad in vibrant colors, walking blindly towards the edge of a cliff.

His expression was carefree, eyes locked on the sky, oblivious to the danger ahead.

Nagami studied the card, then smirked. Without hesitation, he got up and walked into the bathroom. Sitting on the toilet, he muttered under his breath:

"O Fool, grant me your wisdom."

Taking a deep breath, he focused his will on the first glowing sphere.

The white orb flickered—its colors shifting rapidly:

Gray. White. Blue. Light purple. Dark purple. Gold. Black. Rainbow. Transparent.

At last, it settled on black.

Shimmering fragments burst outward, and in an instant, information flooded Nagami's mind.

———————————————————————

[Fusion Spirit]

A powerful ability found across the infinite multiverse. The more it is used, the more the wielder's soul evolves into an indescribable existence.

Allows fusion with any being possessing a spirit, resulting in a new, superior entity.

Activation requires a deep resonance between the user and the target.

The strength of the fused entity depends on the power and resonance of both parties.

Rating: 7 Stars.

Nagami immediately understood.

This is basically Fusion Dance from Dragon Ball!

Except—no dumb poses, no need for equal power levels, no restrictions on gender, age, or even species.

The only requirement? A deep emotional bond with the fusion partner.

Nagami leaned back, exhaling sharply.

…And where the hell was he supposed to find someone to bond with?!

As the glowing energy of his newfound ability merged into his soul, Nagami felt something shift within him.

He couldn't quite describe it, but the change was undeniable.

Still, the immediate problem remained: This ability was completely useless to him right now!

He had no romantic partner, no family in this world, and his social circle was practically non-existent.

Shaking his head, he refocused on the two remaining spheres.

Two more chances.

Reaching out with his mind, he tapped the second sphere. Once again, colors danced chaotically before settling into a deep purple.

[Character Card: C.C.]

Origin: Code Geass.

A girl (debatable) possessing the Code, making her an immortal "witch."

Grants the ability to bestow Geass.

Includes her own Geass: "To Be Loved."

Rating: 5 Stars.

Nagami slapped his thigh. "Holy Fuck!"
