"Finally... they've all gone to class..."
Nagami let out a long sigh of relief, flopping onto the sofa like a dead fish.
To be honest, he had already woken up when C.C. stirred this morning.
But considering that his male body was usually more exhausted than his female one, he'd deliberately stayed in bed, pretending to sleep.
Of course, he'd also sensed Bronya when she came into the room and gently shook him awake.
Her soft breath tickling his ear had made his body instinctively want to wake—but that alone wasn't nearly enough to break a human's deep-rooted habit of lazing in bed.
But judging by what Bronya almost did next... it seemed this golden partner of his really intended to fulfill her little "promise."
Not that it mattered—she had been stopped before things got interesting by the young mistress.
Should he be disappointed... or relieved?
Nagami gently pressed his fingers to his temple, shaking his head to drive away the strange lingering sensations from this morning.
Redirecting his attention to the group chat, he checked in for the day and immediately began his usual idle chatter.
———————————————————————
[Nagami]: Kotori, want me to help you solve your Kurumi problem? I'll do it for free~
———————————————————————
With the resources Nagami currently had access to, the simplest way to revive Karen was to use Kurumi Tokisaki's Twelfth Bullet—reversing time to five hundred years ago.
He could collect Karen's soul right before her death and bring it back to the present to be revived.
Once the soul was secured, there were countless ways to bring her back to life—even Otto could manage it without Nagami's help.
The same method could be used to revive his mother-in-law... though Otto probably wouldn't believe him at first.
Proving his power through such a resurrection would silence any doubt.
———————————————————————
[Itsuka Kotori]: ...
[Itsuka Kotori]: You really think I'd believe that load of crap?
———————————————————————
In the real world, the twin-tailed girl paused as she cleared the breakfast plates, her eyes briefly going dull and lifeless.
Aside from the good little Yuzuriha Inori—and maybe Kal'tsit—the rest of the group's moral standards had been dropping rapidly.
Even the once-cold Akemi Homura had started slipping.
———————————————————————
[Itsuka Kotori]: You're clearly trying to swindle me out of points to buy a World Travel Card. At least try to hide your intentions, damn it!
[Shiraori]: I hate to say it, but Nagami... you're being way too obvious this time.
[Lumine]: Shameless! He is trying to mooch off his members!
[Nagami]: Hey, hey. Is that any way to talk to your big brother?
———————————————————————
A clear threat hidden in those words.
The unspoken meaning]: If you don't behave, I might just spill the embarrassing details about the kind of doujins you've been begging me for lately...
———————————————————————
[Lumine]: Ahem. What I meant was... there's no way any other people could possibly compare to our diligent, selfless, ever-helpful leader~!
———————————————————————
Lumine clearly got the hint.
Morals? Principles? For a Traveler, such heavy burdens could be easily tossed aside when needed.
———————————————————————
[Akemi Homura]: Big brother...?
[Shiraori]: Wait—since when are you two siblings?!
[Lumine]: Ever since Nagami's generous care for the guild made him feel like a real big brother to me~! Naturally, he's my big brother now!
———————————————————————
Desperate to keep the doujin supply going, Lumine shamelessly blurted out a line so sweet and brazen even Nagami felt his face flush.
Nagami immediately opened a private chat window.
———————————————————————
[Nagami]: Ahem. Enough, enough. You're laying it on too thick.
[Lumine]: Gotcha~ヽ(•ω•ゞ)
———————————————————————
She even added a cute little emoji.
Nagami sighed.
He really wanted to remind Lumine to think about her real age before acting so cutesy.
But there was an even more interesting topic at hand.
———————————————————————
[Nagami]: So, my dear little sister... how was that last doujin I sent you? Good? I'm especially curious—what's it like to read a doujin featuring yourself?
[Lumine]: Absolutely wonderful. Your taste is perfect, dear Onii-chan~
[Lumine]: As for reading one starring myself... let's just say, if the heroine were someone like Keqing or Ganyu... they definitely need to go harder!
[Lumine]: Oh, oh! Speaking of which, dearest Onii-chan~ do you have any Kamisato Ayaka doujins? Pleeeease?
———————————————————————
That last message was a voice clip.
Her syrupy-sweet tone practically oozed like melted sugar—so cloying it made Nagami's skin crawl.
Imagining her usual face speaking in that voice... a shiver ran down his spine.
Wonderful. Lumine had once again broken the lower limit of his expectations.
———————————————————————
[Nagami]: I concede defeat
———————————————————————
Shaking his head helplessly, Nagami sighed inwardly.
He clearly still had a long way to go.
'Maybe I should start training myself by facing Yae Sakura directly. Last night's little "event" left me flustered... guess my skin still isn't as thick as a Traveler's...'
At the front of the classroom, C.C. propped up her textbook to block her face—purely for show.
She winked at the lecturer, Welt, silently signaling, Don't bother me before resting her head on her arms and closing her eyes.
Welt sighed inwardly, already used to this green-haired troublemaker's antics. His gaze drifted toward the grasshopper girl snoozing beside her in the same pose.
He casually flicked a piece of chalk through the air—it arced perfectly and struck Kiana right between the brows.
"Kiana! That's five extra laps after class!"
"Eh?! Why?! What did I even do?!"
———————————————————————
After calling out to Yae Sakura several times without receiving any response, Nagami decided to directly project his consciousness into the stigma space via the Honkai energy link.
Thankfully, this particular stigma had been formed from a Herrscher core; otherwise, with the current strength of his soul, he might have felt an overwhelming pressure from the lingering will of the heroic spirit within.
Slowly opening his eyes, he raised his hands before his face.
What greeted him were slender, delicate fingers—completely different from his own body.
With the Herrscher of Reason's power, he conjured a mirror out of thin air.
Staring back at him was a face so exquisitely beautiful that it was hard to tell if it belonged to a man or a woman, framed by waist-length, pristine green hair that faintly shimmered with a gentle glow.
"...Looks a bit like... Enkidu?"
The clay-crafted being made by the gods in the Fate universe—an existence surpassing logic, gender, and human beauty.
A youthful humanoid appearance of about sixteen.
Nagami's current form was strikingly similar, the only real difference being his noble, brilliant golden eyes.
The scenery around him had changed dramatically as well.
This was neither his dorm room nor the classroom at St. Freya.
Looking into the distance, he spotted architecture that seemed reminiscent of Japan's Sengoku period—though far more luxurious and grand.
If he remembered correctly, the stigma space was a rather curious phenomenon—not just a singular space, but multiple layers of reality shaped by the host's memories and consciousness.
An infinite realm, created by the mind of the one who bore the stigma.
Honestly, if Nagami weren't here to fully resolve the Yae Sakura problem, he wouldn't have bothered coming to this space at all.
With complete mastery over the Herrscher of Reason's powers, defeating a half-broken fox like Higokumaru would be child's play.
He could've easily crushed her, then used Geass to force submission, resolving everything at once.
This power, in the hands of someone less restrained, would be the ultimate tool for a certain type of "R18 visual novel" protagonist.
Far more convenient than relying on Jizo Mitama and Hanabira Dust.
All it took was a glance to make anyone "fall in love."
Unlike memory manipulation or favorability boosting, Geass worked by violently rewriting the very foundation of a soul's will—an inhuman method if there ever was one.
In Code Geass, C.C. herself lost her sense of love and joy after overusing this ability, driving her into deep emptiness and suicidal despair.
Nagami glanced sideways, scanning the surroundings.
Directly ahead lay a lavishly built village—it could only be Yae Village.
To the right, there was mountainous forest, and behind him stood a familiar-looking torii gate.
Wandering nearby, he occasionally caught glimpses of small animals darting away.
"Well then, let's pay Yae Village a visit."
Nagami strolled toward the village with a relaxed air, like someone out on a spring picnic.
Back in the day, he used to drive Ducky full speed through the virtual version of Yae Village.
Now that he was here for real, he naturally wanted to take his time and enjoy the view.
It felt like a proper pilgrimage to sacred ground.
As for how the Corrupt Herrscher might make her move, Nagami wasn't too worried.
Once you reached a certain level of power, cunning and tricks didn't matter much anymore.
A fierce roar from up ahead snapped him out of his thoughts.
"A bear...?"
Well, he thought it was a bear—but the creature charging toward him wasn't like any bear species he remembered.
"There's Honkai energy... A corrupted beast."
The deafening roar filled the air as the monstrous bear swung its mutated, clawed paws at him, whipping up fierce gales as it lunged forward.
Its crimson eyes burned with pure, destructive instinct.
Nagami lowered his stance, calmly dodging the beast's pounce by a hair's breadth.
His smooth green hair fluttered gently behind him, his movement graceful and serene.
Just as he was about to finish off the corrupted bear, a sharp, feminine cry rang out from not far away.
He quickly withdrew his clenched fist, dodging another of the bear's swipes before turning toward the voice.
"Stop!"
The crisp ring of steel echoed through the air.
A slim arc of light flashed—a blur of sakura pink moved so fast it was almost impossible for the naked eye to follow, appearing out of nowhere.
In a blink, the cold gleam of a blade sliced cleanly across the bear's massive paw as the beast's attack halted mid-air.
The girl wore a red and white shrine maiden outfit in the ancient Japanese style.
An intricately woven sacred rope was tied around her waist.
Her soft pink hair swayed with her movement—though her fox ears had not yet appeared.
With a graceful twist of her wrist, her blade shimmered like cold light in spring.
In one perfect motion, the cursed beast's head was severed from its shoulders, its massive body crashing to the ground with a thunderous thud.
