Chapter 2 - Whisper of the Ancients

The sky above the Eternal Dominion never slept. Nebulas danced endlessly above the Vordrakar Palace, casting shifting shadows over the black-stone walls forged from collapsed stars. Yet tonight, even those eternal lights dared not shine too brightly.

Because something was awakening.

Something old.

Kaien Azaryth Vordrakar stood alone on the Obsidian Balcony, high above the capital city. The swirling lights of the realm below felt distant, irrelevant. His crimson eyes stared not at the skyline, but inward—replaying every second of what happened in the arena.

He hadn't meant to lose control.

He hadn't even used his full power.

And yet… the moment his aura touched hers, the entire coliseum had disintegrated.

"That wasn't just me," he whispered to himself.

He clenched his fists. Voidflame flickered around his knuckles.

"It was… something deeper."

Behind him, footsteps echoed softly.

"Still awake, Your Highness?"

Kaien didn't turn.

Name: Valenya Vordrakar

Title: High General of the Dominion Armies

Rank: SSS

Role: Kaien's older sister, cold and brilliant commander.

Valenya stood tall, her black and silver armor gleaming under starlight. Her long dark hair was braided in the traditional military fashion, and a single obsidian sword hung at her waist.

Kaien gave her a sideways glance. "You saw it, didn't you?"

She nodded once. "Every Sovereign Lord in the royal tiers saw it. They just don't know what they saw."

Kaien turned toward her, eyes serious. "I wasn't alone in that surge. Something… awakened. Something old."

Valenya studied him. "You're starting to remember him, aren't you?"

"Who?" Kaien asked, frowning.

She stepped closer and whispered: "Rahul."

The name made the Voidflame in Kaien's body tremble.

"He was our ancestor," Valenya continued. "The first Emperor of the Void. Your power… is his echo."

Far below, in the Vault of Origins, ancient mechanisms turned for the first time in thousands of years. Runes glowed with unearthly blue light as relics—forgotten even by kings—reawakened.

In the center of the chamber, a figure knelt before an obsidian sarcophagus wrapped in ethereal chains.

"Soon," whispered the figure.

"They will seek the truth. And when they do… they will find only ashes."

A spectral voice laughed from inside the sealed tomb.

"I've slept long enough."

Back in the palace…

Kaien paced the War Room alone. The walls bore maps of the known universe. In the center stood a massive holographic glyph showing planetary systems across the Seven Grand Realms.

A sudden hologram flickered on.

A figure appeared—one Kaien did not expect.

Name: Olivia Seraphyne Vaeloria

Title: Princess of the Celestial Throne

Rank: ??? (Unknown — Unmeasurable Potential)

Role: Lightborn Empress | Future Queen of Stars | Kaien's destined bond

"Kaien," she said softly. "We need to talk."

He stared at her image.

"I didn't mean for any of that to happen," she said. "But when I saw you… it was like… like something inside me reacted."

He nodded. "Same here. It was like looking into a mirror that reflects your soul."

She stepped closer to the feed. "Do you think we're—"

"—connected?" Kaien finished. "Yes. But not just by bloodlines."

She looked unsure. "Then by what?"

Kaien didn't hesitate.

"By fate."

Elsewhere, far across the universe…

One of the Seven God-tier beings walked alone on a broken world.

Not Eon Thalor.

But someone far worse.

"The Crown is stirring," the being said, as stars blinked out behind him.

"And the last time the Voidflame awakened… we lost half the galaxy."

He turned his gaze toward the Eternal Dominion.

"If Rahul's descendant truly inherits his throne… the balance will break."
