Chapter 120 - Ao Tian vs. Dai Mubai

Dai Mubai ignored Tang San's words, chuckling easily. "A Soul Elder at rank thirty-one, how strong can he be?"

"I can't defeat him without using Hidden Weapons," Tang San replied.

"Hidden Weapons? Are those the weapons you used in your battle with Teacher Zhao yesterday?" Dai Mubai asked.

"Yes."

Dai Mubai laughed. "Isn't that normal? He's already at rank thirty-one, with higher soul power than you and one more soul skill. It's perfectly normal that you can't win without those strange weapons.

But I'm a battle Soul Elder at rank thirty-seven, with six ranks higher in soul power. Could it be that I also can't defeat him?"

Tang San fell silent, saying nothing more. He wasn't sure which of them, Ao Tian or Dai Mubai, was the stronger.

He admitted that without using those powerful Hidden Weapons, like the Large Crossbow and the Dragon Whisker Needle, he couldn't defeat Ao Tian. His strongest methods right now were those Hidden Weapons.

Similarly, he wasn't confident he could beat Dai Mubai without those Hidden Weapons either. Therefore, he thought there was some suspense in the fight between Dai Mubai and Ao Tian.

"Where will the fight be held later? I'll go watch," Tang San asked.

"There's a Small Woods not far outside the village entrance; the fight will be there," Dai Mubai said.

"Okay." Tang San stood up and left the cafeteria; he was full.

Ao Tian arrived at the wooden house closest to the village entrance and released Dragon Horse.

"You'll live here from now on," Ao Tian said.

"Alright, Master," Dragon Horse said, her voice that of a teenage girl.

Ao Tian felt a little awkward. Every time he heard Dragon Horse's voice, it always made him feel a bit uncomfortable because it reminded him of riding on a girl's back.

He had taken a liking to Dragon Horse at first sight, not paying attention to its gender. Even if he had, he wouldn't have thought much of it. But he hadn't expected Dragon Horse to sound like a girl.

Ao Tian instructed, "You need to pay attention to hygiene while you're here. Do your business outside from now on. I won't be cleaning up after you."

"I know, Master."

After the instructions, Ao Tian left.

He wasn't worried about anyone bothering Dragon Horse. If anyone got kicked to death by the horse, it wouldn't be his problem.

When he returned to the dormitory, he ran into Dai Mubai, who was returning from lunch.

Dai Mubai chuckled and said, "Ao Tian, are you ready?"

"Anytime," Ao Tian replied.

"Then go get them. We're heading to the Small Woods now."

Ao Tian nodded, but before he could go, the four girls, including Gu Yue Na, had already heard the voices and walked out.

Tang San heard the commotion and also came out of his room.

"Oscar," Dai Mubai called out.

Oscar pushed open the door, his face pale, looking as if he were constipated.

"Do you want to eat something first?" Dai Mubai asked.

"Ugh," Oscar dry-heaved, nearly throwing up, and shouted, "Don't mention eating to me!"

"Er..." Dai Mubai was a little embarrassed, and said, "Is it all handled?"

Oscar said angrily, "He won't be doing that again today."

After saying that, he jumped down from above, and Dai Mubai quickly dodged.

A stench wafted through the air.

"So smelly!" Xiao Wu quickly fanned herself, hiding behind Ao Tian.

Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong both frowned, retreating slightly, their eyes looking at Oscar with some disgust.

Oscar saw Ning Rongrong's disgusted expression and hurriedly said, "It wasn't me, it was Ma Hongjun. He couldn't move, I was just helping him..."

Ao Tian's mind moved, and a breeze arose out of nowhere, blowing towards Oscar.

"Let's go," Ao Tian said calmly, walking outside. The four girls followed behind him.

This scene made Dai Mubai and Oscar envious and jealous.

Tang San didn't speak, following at the back. Dai Mubai kept a distance from Oscar.

The eight of them left the village and entered the Small Woods.

In the very center of the woods, there was an open space with many signs of fighting.

Dai Mubai said, "We occasionally come here to spar."

Tang San frowned, "The teacher doesn't care about you fighting privately?"

Dai Mubai shook his head, "No, the teacher not only doesn't forbid private fights, but encourages combat and gambling. Because fighting can increase practical experience, allowing Soul Masters to better familiarize themselves with their Martial Soul. Gambling can train judgment and mental endurance. As long as no one is killed during the fights."

After speaking, he looked at Ao Tian and said, "Since you're ready, let's begin."

Everyone, except Ao Tian and Dai Mubai, retreated to the edge.

"Go, Ao Tian!" Xiao Wu's face was slightly flushed, her expression excited as she gave Ao Tian a cheering gesture.

Then, she held Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing's hands, asking, "Who do you want to win?"

"Of course, I want Ao Tian to win. I wouldn't cheer for someone like Dai Mubai," Ning Rongrong said.

Zhu Zhuqing also nodded slightly.

"But, will your Ao Tian really win?" Ning Rongrong asked.

"Definitely. Just watch closely," Xiao Wu said with a grin.

Seeing how confident Xiao Wu still was at this point, Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing were also somewhat puzzled.

Could Ao Tian's combat strength really be that strong? Could he really defeat Dai Mubai by leaping six levels?

Oscar had originally wanted to cheer for Dai Mubai, but after hearing Ning Rongrong's words, he immediately changed his tune, saying, "I also think Ao Tian will win."

Because he was worried about being heard by Dai Mubai, he spoke very softly, and only the few people standing at the edge heard him.

Ning Rongrong glanced at Oscar indifferently, but didn't say anything else.

In the battlefield, Ao Tian and Dai Mubai stood facing each other ten meters apart. Both of them were over one meter eighty in height. Dai Mubai's build was more robust, while Ao Tian's physique appeared more slender.

Dai Mubai glanced at Gu Yue Na beside him, and then looked at Ao Tian, saying, "Ao Tian, release your Martial Soul."

Ao Tian shook his head, saying, "I don't need my Martial Soul to deal with you."

Tang San frowned. Back when he was at Notting Academy, every time he challenged Ao Tian, Ao Tian would almost always say this, and he'd defeat him without even using his Martial Soul.

Now, facing Dai Mubai, a Soul Elder at level thirty-seven, Ao Tian was still acting like this, as confident as ever.

Could it be that he really never lost?

Not only Tang San, but Oscar, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing were also stunned.

"Arrogant!" Oscar wanted to say, but when he saw Ning Rongrong standing a few meters away, he forcefully shut his mouth.

"Sorry, Dai-Lao." Oscar thought to himself.

Ning Rongrong pulled Xiao Wu, and said, "Ao Tian is too arrogant, isn't he? Not even using his Martial Soul. He probably can't even withstand a single attack from Dai Mubai."

Although Zhu Zhuqing didn't say anything, she clearly agreed with Ning Rongrong's assessment.

Dai Mubai couldn't help but burst out laughing. "Ao Tian, you're the most arrogant person I've ever met. You should consider yourself lucky to have met me. I'm going to teach you a lesson today. Otherwise, you'll likely lose your life because of your arrogance in the future.

Since you refuse to use your Martial Soul, I'll make you lose fairly. I won't use mine either."
