Chapter 219 - Tang San’s Strength and Confidence Restored

Their respective families had already begun searching within Heaven Dou City. Even if they had to dig three feet into the ground, they were determined to find Shrek Academy.

None of them expected that before even half a morning had passed, Shrek Academy would actually deliver itself right to their doorstep.

"Shrek Academy… very good. Have you prepared to bear my wrath?" Xue Beng laughed angrily.

His gaze swept over the Shrek group and he didn't see Ao Tian or the few girls.

But that didn't matter. As long as he captured this group, those few wouldn't escape either.

The Grandmaster thought Xue Beng was still hung up on being hit earlier, so he said, "Sorry, our student was impulsive just now. Mubai, come over and apologize."

Dai Mubai didn't move at all. Apologize to a bunch of arrogant trash? Impossible.

The Grandmaster whispered, "We still have to enter the Royal Academy. You hit their student just now—there might be trouble. So just apologize."

Only then did Dai Mubai take a few steps forward. "Sorry."

He didn't even look at Xue Beng's group while speaking, and walked straight back afterward.

"You think an apology settles this? Today, none of you will have a good time." Xue Beng said coldly.

A young man tugged discreetly at Xue Beng's sleeve and whispered, "Your Highness, that guy is a Soul Elder. The others who didn't make a move—who knows what strength they have. We should go back and bring more people."

Xue Beng understood this logic, so he left them with harsh words: "Shrek Academy, you're dead!"

Flender frowned. "How disappointing. Are the Royal Academy's students all like this?"

Seeing Xue Beng's behavior, Flender's expectations for the Royal Academy dropped sharply.

Xue Beng and his group were just about to return to Heaven Dou City for reinforcements when a stern voice came from up the mountain.

"What's going on? Who's making noise here?" The voice was full and powerful. A middle-aged figure appeared from the mountain path and hurried toward them.

The man looked around fifty, with thick brows and bright eyes, dressed in a silver battle outfit, carrying a strong and authoritative presence.

"Great, Teacher Sun is here!" one young man shouted excitedly.

Teacher Sun approached and saw the red slap marks on everyone's faces, plus the footprint on Xue Beng's chest — all looking rather miserable.

He glanced at the Shrek group. They looked unfamiliar, which made him guess Xue Beng had gotten into a conflict with them and been beaten.

He frowned. "Who are you people?"

Seeing a teacher finally appear, Flender stepped forward and said, "We are from Shrek Academy, invited by your academy's teacher Qin Ming to come for learning and exchange."

Surprise flashed across Teacher Sun's face. His gaze swept over the Shrek group, then a smile appeared.

"So it's our friends from Shrek Academy. My apologies."

Flender couldn't read his attitude fully, but still returned the greeting. "Not at all."

Teacher Sun said, "Anyone capable of teaching a genius like Teacher Qin is worthy of respect. As for what happened just now, I apologize on behalf of the Royal Academy. Come with me — I'll take you to see Teacher Qin."

With that, he turned and led the way.

Flender and the Grandmaster exchanged surprised looks. They hadn't expected a Royal Academy teacher to be so easy to deal with.

Teacher Sun shot a cold glance at Xue Beng's group. He knew them far too well — no doubt they had provoked the conflict.

Otherwise, why would this group from far away suddenly start a fight with Royal Academy students?

"Teacher Sun, they injured us and you're just letting them go?" a young man protested.

Teacher Sun glared back. "I'll deal with you later."

Then he led the Shrek group up the mountain.

Only Xue Beng's group remained.

"Your Highness, what now?"

Xue Beng sneered. "What now? Of course we go call people. I'll make sure they walk in but leave on stretchers."

A young man frowned. "That group has a student at Soul Elder level. Their teachers must be even stronger. We might need top experts to handle them. My family's elite aren't easy to mobilize."

"And judging from Teacher Sun's attitude, Shrek Academy may be honored guests. It won't be easy to touch them," another said.

Xue Beng laughed coldly. "Relax. Since they offended me, I'll make them taste unprecedented fear. Even the academy's Three Education Committee members won't be able to protect them."

After that, Xue Beng didn't return to the academy and instead headed quickly toward Heaven Dou City.

The others looked at each other, then hurried after him.

"Is His Highness going to bring in a prince?" they wondered.

The Shrek group followed Teacher Sun up the mountain, seeing many simulated cultivation training grounds along the way, filling them with amazement.

Teacher Sun brought them to a reception hall to wait, then summoned Qin Ming.

Qin Ming was naturally delighted to see Flender and the others.

But he was puzzled — Shrek Academy was missing several students.

After Flender gave a brief explanation, Qin Ming could only sigh in pity.

"Come, I'll take you to meet the academy's Three Education Committee. They are senior Elders of the academy, all at the Soul Douluo level," Qin Ming said with a smile.

"Soul Douluo!" Ma Hongjun couldn't help shouting.

The strongest person he'd ever seen was his own teacher — he had never met a Soul Douluo before.

Qin Ming patted his head with a laugh. "Little fatty, no need to be shocked. With your talent, as long as you train well, you'll meet them often in the future — you can even ask them for guidance."

"Yes, Senior, I'll definitely work hard!" Ma Hongjun said obediently.

Led by Qin Ming, they arrived at the academy's central area — a huge building housing the Education Committee.

When they arrived, three elderly men were already waiting outside the doors.

Flender was startled and quickly stepped forward to bow.

The Grandmaster and the other teachers did the same.

After mutual greetings, they entered the committee hall.

The three committee members were at levels eighty-six, eighty-five, and eighty-three. The leading one was Meng Shenji, an eighty-six-rank Control-type Soul Douluo.

Everyone took seats in the hall, with Tang San and the other four students standing behind the teachers.

After some polite exchanges, Meng Shenji asked, "Qin Ming said your Shrek Academy now has an extraordinarily talented control-type student. Which one is it?"

The Grandmaster smiled. "Hardly a 'genius,' but Tang San, step forward and show respect to the three seniors."

Tang San stepped forward and bowed respectfully.

When he finished, he stood straight, neither humble nor arrogant, looking steadily at the three Soul Douluos.

"Good spirit. I like that," said Zhi Lin, the eighty-three-rank Sky Blue Vine Soul Douluo, laughing.

Then his eyes narrowed and a massive soul power pressure crashed toward Tang San to test him.

Everyone in the hall immediately understood it was a test.

Tang San's expression was firm. His body stood like a spear, unyielding. He operated Xuan Tian Gong to resist fully.

Zhi Lin kept increasing the pressure. When he reached roughly the forty-fifth rank level, Tang San finally couldn't hold on and released Blue Silver Grass and Eight Spider Lances — startling all three committee members.

Only then did Zhi Lin withdraw his pressure.

The three teachers hurried to ask about Tang San's condition. The Grandmaster proudly explained Tang San's exceptional control ability and even revealed that the Eight Spider Lances were an external spirit bone, shocking the elders and making their eyes light up at Tang San.

At this point, the Eight Spider Lances had fully fused with Tang San and could no longer be removed, so the Grandmaster wasn't worried about anyone coveting it. Revealing it only helped Tang San earn their regard — a huge benefit.

"I… I've cleared one of the Eight Extraordinary Meridians? And my soul power increased by one level?" Feeling the changes in his body, Tang San was ecstatic.

He knew very well how much benefit clearing the Eight Extraordinary Meridians would bring — it would greatly increase his cultivation speed.

Tang San returned to stand behind the Grandmaster. His eyes gleamed with renewed confidence. Ao Tian, next time we meet, I'll definitely make you shocked!

At this moment, a stern yet angry voice sounded from outside:

"Is Chief Meng Shenji inside?"
