Chapter 241 - Ao Tian’s Corpse Wasn’t Even Left Whole

Longma galloped wildly, and everywhere it passed through the Prince's Residence, buildings erupted into flames.

After bursting out from the back gate, the flames covering its body finally went out. It continued sprinting down the street.

"Those Shrek guys are too hateful. I only gave them a little punishment. The master shouldn't blame me, right?" it thought.

"Human men are so weak… just a light poke and they can't take it…"

Such a tall, imposing, bizarre-looking creature running through the city naturally terrified countless people.

Wherever Longma passed, people scattered in panic, chaos erupting everywhere.

It curled its lip, ducked into an empty alley, and planned to return to its horse form before sneaking back to the Ao Residence.

But suddenly—The void ahead rippled like the surface of a calm lake. Longma's instincts flared, but it was already too late—its head plunged straight into the distortion.

The scene around it changed. It froze for a moment and realized it had already returned to its small resting corner inside the Ao Residence.

"You played around a bit, but you handled it well," Ao Tian's voice echoed around it.

"Thank you for the praise, master."

Inside the Prince's Residence, many buildings were now raging infernos.

The people who had fled earlier rushed back, desperately trying to put out the fires.

Liu Erlong hurried over to Dai Mubai and asked, "Are you alright?"

"No problem. Not dead yet," Dai Mubai replied faintly as he weakly stood up.

He was still holding some resentment toward Liu Erlong for abandoning them earlier.

Though standing, his legs continued trembling uncontrollably. The pain down there was too intense—so intense he even suspected something might have been shattered.

Of course, now was not the time to check.

Liu Erlong quickly walked over to Oscar and Ma Hongjun, discovering that both had multiple fractures. They clutched their lower bodies with expressions of unbearable pain.

A chill crept into Liu Erlong's heart. Grandmaster had also been struck in that place by that damn soul beast. If he got broken… what would she do?

At this moment, Liu Erlong was uninjured, Dai Mubai could barely stand, and the rest of Shrek's group were seriously wounded on the ground.

She dragged everyone into one spot. "Oscar, hurry and make Big Sausages."

Even though Oscar's body was badly damaged, he could still release his soul skills. He endured the pain and began producing sausages.

Grandmaster's rear twitched from time to time. "Erlong, go check on Senior Dugubo."

Liu Erlong rose and moved quickly toward the great hall Dugubo had crashed into.

The roof of that hall had a giant hole smashed through it by Dugubo.

Not long after, Liu Erlong returned supporting a heavily injured Dugubo.

Seeing Dugubo still alive, Grandmaster finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He had planned to bring Dugubo over as Shrek Academy's future backing. If he died now, that would be too big a loss.

By now, after each eating a Big Sausage, their complexions looked a bit better. But aside from Dai Mubai, the others still had severe fractures—far beyond what a single sausage could heal.

"Oscar, give Senior Dugubo a sausage," Grandmaster said.

"I have a Big Sausage," Oscar chanted the incantation quickly. A sausage appeared in his hand.

His arm couldn't lift, so he had Dai Mubai deliver it to Dugubo.

Dugubo sat on the ground, the two holes in his abdomen—pierced through by Longma—had stopped bleeding, but his aura remained extremely weak.

He didn't eat the sausage immediately. Instead, he fixed a cold, icy stare on Oscar.

Oscar shuddered under the gaze and quickly said, "S-senior, my Big Sausage heals injuries. That incantation just now is part of my soul skill! Don't take it personally!"

Only then did Dugubo accept it and swallow it in a few bites.

After eating, his complexion improved slightly. "Where is that beast?"

Liu Erlong said, "After injuring us, that soul beast ran away."

Dugubo stood up and looked toward the courtyard where Xue Xing had died. It had already burned into ruins.

He sighed. With Xue Xing dead, he no longer needed to repay any favor.

Ma Hongjun's fat cheeks twitched painfully as he asked, "Where's Ao Tian? Why don't I see him?"

The question stunned everyone. Only now did they realize they hadn't seen Ao Tian since they arrived.

Liu Erlong flashed forward, grabbed a servant who had been fighting the fire, and asked, "Where is the young man your Prince's Residence captured earlier?"

The servant trembled under her fearsome aura and pointed toward the burned courtyard where Xue Xing had died. "He was taken there… later the Prince and the Fourth Prince also went inside… and never came out."

Liu Erlong released him. "Looks like that kid Ao Tian was killed by that soul beast too."

Ma Hongjun said mournfully, "What a pity… that amazing immortal herb is gone. Damn that Ao Tian."

Dai Mubai's expression was extremely dark. He had come excited, but gained nothing and was even injured by a stupid soul beast.

Grandmaster's eyes flickered. "The material used for soul tools is extremely special—very hard, immune to fire and water. That immortal herb might be in Ao Tian's soul tool. Erlong, go find his corpse."

Ma Hongjun's eyes lit up. "Yes, yes, Erlong teacher, hurry and look!"

"I'll go with you," Dai Mubai said.

The two arrived at the area where the fire had started. They searched but found only two relatively intact corpses.

The two bodies had already become charcoal, still faintly smoking, reeking of burnt flesh, with some blood seeping out.

In other areas, there were also pieces of charred remains.

After searching all over with no soul tools found, Liu Erlong and Dai Mubai approached the two burnt corpses.

Liu Erlong found a stick and, covering her nose, poked around for a bit. Sure enough, she found two items resembling soul tools—a ring and a thumb ring.

At that moment, a large group of soldiers rushed in and surrounded them.

"That's the Prince's thumb ring and the Fourth Prince's ring! Put them down!" the soldier leader shouted.

Liu Erlong froze for a moment, then placed both items on the ground.

Dai Mubai quickly said, "Don't misunderstand—we came here looking for a young man you previously captured. He was a traitor from our academy. He died here. We just wanted to recover his belongings."

"We're with Senior Dugubo," Liu Erlong added, pointing to Dugubo in the distance with Grandmaster and the others.

The soldier leader relaxed slightly. "Those two items belong to the Prince and the Fourth Prince. You are mistaken."

Then he ordered, "Spread out and search for any other soul tools."

The soldiers searched carefully, but no third soul tool was found.

Liu Erlong and Dai Mubai had no choice but to leave.

When they returned, Ma Hongjun immediately asked, "Boss Dai, how did it go? Did you find Ao Tian's soul tool?"

Dai Mubai shook his head. "No… and Ao Tian didn't even have a corpse left. He was burned into charcoal."

"Serves him right," Ma Hongjun said happily, then quickly sighed. "But what a waste of those immortal herbs…"
