Chapter 125 - Chapter 124: Spend All the Spirit Stones Inside

Chapter 124: Spend All the Spirit Stones Inside

Above Tianyuan City.

A protective formation stretched across the sky.

An invisible barrier enveloped the entire city, and on this formation, a blood-red divine spear pinned a powerful cultivator at the peak of the Divine Power Realm.

Trickles of blood flowed down along the formation, creating a chilling and horrifying sight.

Li Xun, his black hair flying wildly, walked down from the sky like a war god. His steps exuded an unstoppable dominance that seemed to suppress the entire world.

At this moment, the entire Tianyuan City was petrified. Everyone stared blankly at the scene above, almost forgetting to breathe.

A cultivator at the peak of the Divine Power Realm had been decisively and effortlessly killed by someone at the early stage of the Divine Power Realm. Not only that, but even the opponent's weapon had been snatched during the battle.

This was a battle achievement that seemed straight out of legend.

"Is this real? Someone slap me to see if I'm dreaming."

"This is terrifying! Someone at the early Divine Power Realm defeated a peak Divine Power and killed them with ease. It's utterly unimaginable!"

"Why does it feel like this eldest young master of the Li Family still has many trump cards he hasn't even used yet?"

"Maybe the true strength of the Li Family's eldest young master is already close to rivaling someone at the Life and Death Realm!"

"Did you know? Just over a month ago, this eldest young master of the Li Family defeated more than ten prodigies by himself in the Phoenix Origin Secret Realm!"

"Oh? Is there such a story? Fellow Daoist, please tell me more!"

After what felt like an eternity, Tianyuan City erupted in a frenzy. People were in a heated discussion, their eyes shining with excitement.

Today's battle was something they would talk about for a long time.

Li Xun landed before the body of the pinned young man. Extending his hand, he grasped the spear and gave it a shake. The opponent's body immediately disintegrated into a mist of blood.

Amid the blood mist, he retrieved a storage ring.

His spiritual sense entered it and swept through its contents.

Inside, he found a massive pile of spirit stones and a collection of rare herbs and treasures, which, to him, were no longer of much use.

What caught his interest were a few technique manuals. Unfortunately, their grades weren't particularly high—most were of the Xuan level, with one or two being at the low-grade Earth. For Li Xun, they were mediocre.

After memorizing the contents, he placed the manuals back into the storage ring.

"Today's greatest gain seems to be this blood-red divine spear," Li Xun remarked, inspecting the spear in his hand with satisfaction.

A high-grade spiritual treasure was a valuable find, rarely seen in the hands of even exceptional prodigies. For instance, a Prince of the Great Chu Dynasty couldn't produce one of similar caliber.

"Unfortunately, that opponent was far too weak," Li Xun said, shaking his head slightly.

Initially, he had planned to use the young man as a test of his current strength. However, the opponent proved incapable of withstanding much. The battle had barely begun before it ended, leaving many of his methods unused.

This disparity, he reasoned, was likely due to the opponent's mortal physique.

When one is at the Emperor Realm, a cultivator's physique level is insignificant, as even mortals who reach that realm are among the very best, rivaling those with special physiques.

However, during the Divine Power Realm, a special physique was a significant advantage. Unless they met another with an equally rare physique, those with godly or saintly physiques were often invincible among their peers.

"Perhaps joining the battlefield in the sky would give me a better understanding of my strength," Li Xun mused, glancing upward.

High above, nine cultivators at the Life and Death Realm were still locked in intense combat. The scales of victory, however, were tipping in Tianyuan City's favor.

Despite his old age and diminished strength, Elder Chen, with the help of a Life and Death Realm puppet, was overwhelming his opponent. It seemed that the enemy would soon be defeated.

"Forget it," Li Xun said after some thought, withdrawing his gaze.

At this point, his participation would hardly make a difference. Judging by the situation, the battle would conclude in about half an hour. There was no need for him to steal the spotlight.

There would be ample opportunities in the future to test his abilities.

For now, he had other priorities—investing!

Earlier, when those five enemies had launched their attacks, their divine abilities had left lingering aftershocks, even though Tianyuan City's formation had blocked 90% of the damage.

The remaining 10% was still devastating. For ordinary people or Body Refinement cultivators, it was a deadly force.

As a result, many in the city were injured, their bodies radiating a faint white glow. A quick scan with his spiritual sense revealed six or seven hundred such individuals.

Though the glow was faint, indicating they wouldn't yield exceptional rewards, the sheer number made them worthwhile.

Landing in the city, Li Ming hurried over with a group of attendants.

"Elder Brother, are you hurt?" Li Ming asked with concern.

"I'm fine." Li Xun waved it off, tossing a storage ring to Li Ming.

"Elder Brother, what's this?" Li Ming asked, puzzled.

"Go to the Myriad Treasures Pavilion and buy some healing pills for me. They don't need to be too expensive, but make sure to buy as many as possible!"

"Spend all the spirit stones inside!" Li Xun instructed firmly.

He still had some healing pills in his storage ring, but they wouldn't be nearly enough for the hundreds of glowing individuals needing help.

"Huh?" Li Ming was stunned, momentarily at a loss.

The storage ring contained thousands of high-grade spirit stones—a veritable fortune. It was hard to imagine how many ordinary healing pills this could buy.

"Elder Brother, are you planning to treat pills like food?"

"What are you standing there for? Hurry up!" Li Xun snapped.

"Yes, I'll go right away!" Li Ming didn't dare question his elder brother further. Trusting him implicitly, he rushed toward the Myriad Treasures Pavilion.

Watching Li Ming leave, Li Xun smiled and turned toward an injured cultivator. Producing a pill, he said warmly, "Fellow Daoist, you're gravely injured. Please take this pill to heal yourself."
