Chapter 244 - Chapter 244: The Dragon-Slayer Becomes the Dragon, Is Imu Nika?

"Fufufufu, that's why I said she might be from another world, a demon prayed into existence by the enslaved during their oppression," Doflamingo laughed.

"Moreover, I think she resembles you. Perhaps she is Nika!!!"

Doflamingo's words struck Roy like lightning.

In the murals of the first world, Nika did not appear, but many small figures did, including one wearing a crown.

What if that silhouette was Nika?

Then the question arises: why wasn't Nika depicted in the first world's murals? Joy Boy was Joy Boy, Luffy is Luffy; they merely share the same power. Perhaps the Sun God Nika was the first generation, and the second-generation Sun God should be called Sun God Joy Boy.

Nika might have existed in the first world, within Imu herself. Perhaps Imu once led the earth to victory over the sky, splitting the world in two.

The children of the earth and the serpent of purgatory devoured the world. In the first world, the sky people stole the sun's energy and enslaved the world, so the slaves prayed for light.

The Sun God Nika appeared. The earth conquered the sky, and the world was divided, never to meet again.

If the Nika of the first world defeated the rulers of the sky and obtained the sun's power, then Nika, upon becoming the ruler, turned into the warrior who, after slaying the dragon, became a dragon herself, and continued to enslave the world.

Fragments of the world still held human life; their faint breath was the hope for survival.

Recalling Saturn's earlier words: even if humanity is destroyed, it will reproduce rapidly within a short time.

Perhaps Saturn's statement corroborates the destruction of two worlds, both of which experienced severe population declines, only to recover decades later.

The forest god brought demons, and Devil Fruits became the new power. This suggests the Sun God was initially a figment of human imagination. Devil Fruits emerged after the Second World War, as slaves prayed for demonic power under the enslavement of the twenty kingdoms.

When Brook was sent flying and appeared in the magic circle, the people enslaved by the long-armed tribe weren't praying to the Sun God but to the demon Satan.

This corresponds to the first world: alien races enslaved humans, and humans prayed for the appearance of a demon.

Imu ruled the world, forgot her original intentions, lost the power of the Sun God, and gained demonic power.

In the second world, born from demons and the wishes of the enslaved, the Sun God Fruit was obtained by Joy Boy, granting him power, just as Imu had gained power fifteen hundred years earlier, possessing the Drums of Liberation.

Thus, people associated him with the former Sun God. He should be the Sun God Joy Boy, not Nika.

Was the first Nika actually Imu?

In the second world, humanity with devil fruit powers killed the Sun God, continuing the cycle of oppression in the world, provoking the sea god's wrath.

In the first world, the earth god and the serpent of purgatory created the Red Line, dividing the world forever.

In the second world, the sea god's anger flooded the world, raising sea levels by two hundred meters and cursing the devil fruit users to be rejected by the sea forevermore.

The people of the half-moon dreamed one dream; the people of the moon dreamed another, two conflicting consciousnesses.

The moon shattered. The remnants of the lunar civilization likely participated in the war again, joining Joy Boy in continuously igniting conflict.

Joy Boy was the world's first pirate. After setting sail, he reached every corner of the world, stirring up war, to liberate the enslaved.

This included Wano, the giants, the Tontatta Tribe, the minks, and all the other races.

It was through the wars that Joy Boy continuously ignited that, within a few short years, he and the lunar civilization remaining on the sky islands established a new civilization.

This was the massive kingdom mentioned by Dr. Clover. The existence of this kingdom threatened the twenty kingdoms that had obtained demonic power.

The former Nika, the Sun God, reappeared, leading the people of the half-moon to war once more.

Perhaps the half-moon represents Uranus. Those who had defeated the lunar civilization and seized Uranus used it, along with demonic power, to defeat Joy Boy.

Inspired by Joy Boy, Alabasta joined them, fighting alongside them against the present-day Celestial Dragons.

They killed the Sun God. The sea god's fury swept across the world, and the Celestial Dragons moved to reside atop the world's highest point, the Red Line.

"The abandonment of Nika... So Imu is actually a demon. The origin of Devil Fruits is the manifestation of desire. Initially, they weren't called Devil Fruits but Fruits of Hope. The first fruit prayed into existence was the Sun God. People lived in darkness."

"The lunar civilization continuously plundered power, imprisoning slaves in lightless places. The slaves longed for liberation, for the sun, so the Sun God Nika appeared."

"Imu obtained the power of the Sun God but ultimately betrayed her people. Thus, she was cursed by the forest god and became a demon. Imu mastered demonic power, gaining the ability to obtain fruits from another world, which should explain her abilities," Roy said.

"That interpretation isn't wrong. I once thought similarly. The sun I saw underground in Mary Geoise could realize the desires in my heart. I wanted a gun, and a gun emerged from the sun, flying out and turning into a fruit," Doflamingo said.

"You didn't mention that earlier," Roy said.

"Fufufu, now you know. Mary Geoise has many trees, but one is particularly unique, growing atop the Red Line. According to the Harley religious text, the Red Line was born during the First World's War. So the forest god..." Doflamingo laughed.

"The Lunarians once resided in Mary Geoise and had a kingdom of gods. The power they controlled came from the Sunlight Tree Eve."

"Eve, the Sunlight Tree... the sun."

"The Lunarians also descended from the moon. The solar power they obtained came from the Sunlight Tree Eve."

"After Eve was plundered, she grew angry and gave her power to Imu. Imu gained power but broke her promises, turning into the Demon Tree. The Celestial Dragons defeated the Lunarians and obtained the power of the forest god, the Devil Fruits."

"Losing the original power of the Sunlight Tree Eve, all power became Devil Fruits. This meant that Uranus, which relied on Eve's power, could no longer be activated."

"Although Joy Boy failed, he succeeded in one thing: releasing demonic power to the world, allowing everyone to obtain it."

"And Roger's approach was to spread the flames of war, encouraging more people to set sail, follow Joy Boy's path, and reignite the conflict. Hahahaha!!!"

Roy couldn't help but laugh heartily at the end. Luffy is Luffy, but his destiny was foreseen nine hundred years ago.

"The world is just a makeshift stage, a ridiculous fate."

Roy suddenly felt bored. If everything is predetermined, what was the point of their efforts?
