Chapter 30 - Chapter 30

At half-past one in the morning, the three legendary birds quietly landed on the island and carefully approached the small wooden house. They peeked through the window stealthily and, seeing that Riku was asleep on his side, immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

"Where did you guys go?"

Just as the three legendary birds were about to sneak inside, a sudden voice startled them. Turning around in a flustered manner, they saw it was Groudon. The three legendary birds immediately complained,

"Pokémon scaring Pokémon can scare Pokémon to death!"

"What are you doing here so late at night? And hiding so deep, are you sick in the head?"

"Don't talk about me, talk about yourselves!" Groudon's tone was serious.

"Just now, I felt the fluctuation of power. Who were you fighting... Zappy, are you injured?"

The three legendary birds originally wanted to lie. The Orange Archipelago was their territory, not Groudon's. It would be a bit embarrassing to get injured in their own territory. However, now that Groudon had seen them, they exchanged a look and decided not to hide anything.

Groudon's expression became even more serious, and it was visibly angry.

"Damn it, humans dare to fight us legendary Pokémon?"

"I'll help you with this. After all, we've lived together for a while. How can I just stand by and watch you get bullied by humans?!"

Groudon's good intentions not only didn't make the three legendary birds grateful but actually made them a bit speechless. They had indeed received some minor injuries. Actually, they weren't even really injuries—just a few feathers had been knocked off and some had been scorched.

The Pokémon of those Champion-level Trainers, on the other hand, were in a much worse state. Before, even if Lorelei's Pokémon had taken a Discharge from Zapdos, they would have mostly recovered in a few days. After all, they were Champion-level Pokémon, and their recovery ability was not to be underestimated.

But the Champion-level Trainers who arrived later had an attitude that made the three legendary birds very unhappy from the start. So they hadn't held back much at all. Nearly half of the twenty-four Champion-level Pokémon had been beaten up by them. If anyone should be angry, it should be those Champion-level Trainers.

Creak

Just as they were about to politely decline Groudon's good intentions, the door of the small wooden house suddenly opened. Seeing the stern-faced Riku walk out, the three legendary birds immediately stood up straight, waiting to be scolded.

"What time is it?"

"You've been gone all night, didn't even eat dinner. Where did you guys go fooling around?"

Riku scolded directly.

"Did some female bird steal your souls?"

"If you really went to chase after female birds, could you at least tell me in advance? Would I really not let you?"

"Master, it's really not that!" The three legendary birds hurriedly denied.

"It's not that, then what did you guys go do?" Riku frowned, suddenly noticing that the feathers on the three silly birds were messy, especially Snowy's. It should have washed itself countless times today because of its diarrhea. It couldn't possibly be even messier than before.

"Did you go fighting?"

"Did you get injured?"

The three legendary birds exchanged a look and had no choice but to nod.

"Damn it, why didn't you come back and call me when you went fighting?!" Riku said angrily.

"Lapras, come on out!"

Being called out so late at night, Lapras was completely confused.

Before it could react, Riku said angrily, "Let's go! The three birds were injured by a Pokémon. We're going to get revenge right now!"

Go get revenge... I'm going!!

Lapras was so scared it almost peed itself. Even the three legendary birds were injured. As a mere Champion-level Pokémon, wouldn't going to get revenge be like delivering food? This absolutely could not be agreed to!

And the three legendary birds and Groudon, upon hearing Riku's words, also hurriedly advised:

"Master, you really don't need to take action."

"This is a good opportunity for us to train."

"And those are all little guys. If you take action, you'll be bullying Pokémon!"

Riku was taken aback. "What kind of Pokémon?"

The three legendary birds said helplessly,

"Poochyena, they're a pack Pokémon..."

"No way?" Riku was a bit angry.

"Poochyena aren't strong, and you guys can fly. How could you get hurt by Poochyena?"

Zapdos said weakly,

"Well... Poochyena can Sand Attack, and we weren't actually hurt."

"Forget it." Riku, who had been quite angry seeing the three legendary birds' somewhat dirty feathers, immediately calmed down.

"Kids fighting, and you guys fought for a whole night."

"It made me worry so much that I couldn't sleep."

"Sigh... you guys really let me down!"

Saying that, Riku returned to the small wooden house. This time, he could sleep peacefully.

"Roar roar roar..."

As soon as Riku left, Groudon immediately rolled around on the ground laughing.

"Hahaha, kids fighting."

"Hahaha, Master is disappointed in you guys."

"Get lost!" the three legendary birds said angrily.

"Even if you went today, it wouldn't have been any better than us."

"You really think so?" Groudon's head was held high.

"How about this, let's make a bet."

"As long as I can defeat all these Champion-level Pokémon Trainers, you guys owe me ten cans. How about it?"

"Cans? What cans?" the three legendary birds were stunned, then became furious.

"I'm going!"

"Master fried canned food today!"

"Go to hell!"

"Red Shrimp, you quickly spit it out!!"
