Chapter 7 - :Boss Fight

The moment the figure jumped down the mini cliff, Grook had to stand up from his seat. As Max and XS turned around, it was now they felt fear.

"Isn't that the guy?" said Max, unable to keep the flow of his words steady.

Aiden gradually began walking towards Grook, who was looking at him with a strange expression. As Aiden reached Max and the crying player,

he cut the chains holding the crying player, who suddenly stopped and took his time to stare at Aiden, wondering why it was him.

"The boss is mine, and I don't need anyone else interfering. I believe you know what I mean," said Aiden.

Without further words, and not bothering to unlock Max and XS's chains, he advanced, moving towards Grook. The crying player finally understood what Aiden meant.

He stood up, facing the orc monster growling. As of now, the player who seemed to be crying had turned into something else.

His eyes, sharp and scanning every one of them at the same time. His hands tucked inside his trousers.

"So this is how it feels to be maxed out," he grinned. Something about his aura changed.

Ignoring this, an orc demon noticed Aiden steps away from their boss. The orc demon growled, wielding a big battle axe.

"Grahhaaa!"

Accompanying its growling, it leaped up so high, covering the space Aiden had walked in an instant, as it was about to split Aiden in two.

Kweuk'

An enormous amount of purple flames was sent, burning the orc to ashes like thin air, as if he never existed.

Aiden projected his eyes backwards to see behind his head. Seeing his mage had taken care of the danger, he smiled.

"You're? You're different," Grook mutters. "What are you?"

"I am your creator," Aiden mutters.

They simultaneously dashed at each other with killing intent, Grook attacking first with a quick slash at Aiden's throat, but he quickly dodged backwards, and Aiden slashed for Grook's head, who blocked the attack.

Every attack that collided caused a brief earthquake and a spark that could lead to flames.

"Where are the humans?" Aiden asked, walking towards Grook as he rotated his dagger.

"Humans?" Repeating the word, it was as if Grook just remembered his true purpose in life. He glanced at XS and yelled tremendously.

"I must kill humans!" yelled Grook.

He dashed past Aiden so fast that Aiden couldn't keep track, and he closed the gap between him and XS in a matter of a split second.

"Dieeeee!!!" Grook yelled. Up close, XS could see the veins erupting at his neck and head, her eyes forming tears as her life flashed before her eyes.

"Aiden!" For some reason, XS yelled Aiden's name.

Inches from getting killed by Grook's dagger—clang—Aiden's dagger intercepted the attack from the side, causing a bit of spark that flew past XS's eyes.

"I'm your opponent now," said Aiden.

Grook quickly jumped back and was surprised to see what was going on.

As of now, Aizen was doing pretty well holding the orcs from interfering. Thanks to Aiden maxing out his stats, he was able to summon more than a hundred skeleton soldiers, turning this little place into a chaotic mini war.

"Let me out of the chains," Max groaned, his eyes filled with hatred and anger. Aiden could see and sense that, which was why he let them remain chained up.

As if replying to Max's suggestion, Aiden summoned his loyal ant monster and ordered him to stay beside them—an alternative.

"Make sure they don't get hurt," said Aiden. The ant monster placed a palm on his segmented chest and gave a nod. Then black flames began twirling around, with Max and XS in its protection.

After clearing that out, it was time to face Grook. "System, change my class to Copy."

-[Ding: Class Has Been Changed]

-[Previous Class: Assassin | Your Experience Rating: 3.4]

-[Current Class: Level Up Copy Talent (Maxed Out)]

Although Grook couldn't understand what the blue screen was displaying, from how Aiden's aura had changed, he could tell it wasn't good.

And there was a chance Aiden was smiling behind that mask… but Grook wasn't waiting to find out.

Boom!

Grook dashed towards Aiden simultaneously. This time, he was charging with his red-veined fist—boom! The fist connected with Aiden, but he blocked with cross-style daggers.

However—bam! kweuk!—Aiden was sent skidding backwards so fast that he hit his back against the cage wall so hard he coughed blood.

-[Talent Identified: Final Punch]

-[Talent Copied and Leveled Up: Final Punch Lv. 05]

Not giving a resting time for Aiden, the moment he had slammed the wall, Grook was already coming in. He let out another punch that would have killed Aiden—kaboom!

However, Aiden dodged down, with Grook's fist incinerating the entire wall, rocks flying asunder, with a devious smile on Grook's face.

When Aiden had dodged down, Grook's abdomen was completely exposed. He didn't waste time and quickly connected his Final Punch on Grook's abdomen.

Harder than Grook's attack, Aiden's fist could have been seen behind Grook's back—a mouthful of blood also escaping Grook's mouth, as if time slowed and resumed very fast.

Boom! Grook wasn't sent skidding. Unlike Aiden, Grook smashed his back against the wall behind his throne. When he coughed out blood, his mask cracked off his face, and his eyes saw another incoming punch.

"No… no… noooooooooo!!!" Grook yelled, raging, and spat out a torrent of flames towards Aiden—but that didn't stop the creator.

Aiden was somehow unaffected by the flames, and as he closed the gap—boom!—he palm-slammed Grook's face against the wall, sending them deep inside it, with Grook lying dead.

-[Ding]

-[A High Boss Territory Has Been Defeated]

-[The Rewards Have Been Distributed]

Accompanying the notification, the black swirling flame died, and the loyal ant disappeared—just like the remaining orcs. Overall, the place was covered with blood and dead orcs, with Aizen's necromancer army.

Aiden walked out from the ruined wall, facing Max, XS, and Aizen with his army.

Billy, on the other hand, was trying to hold Aiden's leg. "Don't… don't walk away from me… I will kill you and become the world's savior."

But Aiden merely took it as something serious. He walked past Max, who didn't do anything but ask,

"Where is my wife?"

Aiden stopped walking. "She's dead," and his response brought Max to his knees, streaming with tears.

"Thanks for helping us," said XS.

"I didn't help you… I just hate when my creation overdoes things," Aiden muttered and leaped from the cave. As he left, Aizen was surprised Aiden left him at level max.

"Sweet. Hey Billy… I ain't your thug no more, man," said Aizen, now knowing he could take care of himself with his ability all maxed out.
