Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Flames of Shadow and Strategy

The air around the crimson battlefield shimmered with tension as Itachi Uchiha stood calmly, his Sharingan eyes blazing with sharp focus. Opposite him, the ruthless minions of Thanos prepared to strike, their monstrous forms casting long shadows under the dying sun.

Itachi knew he could not rely on brute force alone. This was a war of wits, strategy, and deadly precision.

As the first wave charged, Itachi's eyes glowed fiercely, triggering the legendary Amaterasu—black flames bursting forth from his palms. The flames hissed and curled around the attackers, licking their armor and flesh, refusing to extinguish until their victims turned to ash.

But Itachi was no one-trick ninja. While the Amaterasu consumed the front line, he summoned his crow clones with a subtle hand movement. The dark crows swarmed the enemies, confusing and distracting them, diving into their ears and eyes, blurring vision and breaking their formation.

From the shadows, Itachi launched a perfectly timed Tsukuyomi. His opponents suddenly found themselves trapped in a nightmarish illusion, their senses twisted and time stretched into agony. Screams echoed as the enemies battled an enemy that wasn't really there, frozen and vulnerable.

But the fight was far from over.

The minions of Thanos quickly recovered, revealing terrifying powers of their own. One giant beast, scales shimmering with cosmic energy, unleashed a devastating shockwave, knocking back Itachi's crows and causing him to stumble.

Itachi's eyes narrowed. He vanished in a swirl of smoke, only to reappear behind the creature. With a swift strike, he unleashed a torrent of black flames—Amaterasu once again—encasing the beast's massive limb. The beast roared in fury and pain but was forced to retreat as the unyielding flames burned deeper.

Yet, Thanos's forces were relentless.

Another wave of armored soldiers advanced, wielding energy weapons that crackled with otherworldly power. Itachi's mind raced. He countered with his Tactical Genjutsu, weaving an illusion so real that the soldiers saw allies turning against them, weapons misfiring, and the ground swallowing them whole.

Chaos erupted within their ranks. The soldiers fired wildly, some even striking their own comrades. Taking advantage of their confusion, Itachi sent his crows diving again, pecking and clawing with ruthless efficiency.

Despite the overwhelming assault, Itachi remained composed. Every move was calculated, each jutsu layered with cunning. Amaterasu's flames continued to burn through the battlefield, his crows provided vision and disruption, and his genjutsu shattered enemy morale.

But even the great Itachi felt the weight of the cosmic battle. His chakra waned, the relentless pressure of Thanos's minions threatening to overwhelm him. The battlefield was a dance of shadow and fire, a test of endurance and will.

With one last surge of strength, Itachi formed the hand seals for a complex sealing jutsu, aiming to contain several enemies at once. Black chains of chakra erupted, binding the attackers and leaving them helpless before a final wave of Amaterasu flames.

As the smoke settled, Itachi stood alone amid the scorched earth, breathing heavily but unbroken. The enemies lay defeated, their cosmic power extinguished—at least for now.

Yet, deep within the shadows beyond the battlefield, a mysterious ship waited silently. The Collector had been watching, intrigued by the power and resolve of this lone warrior. The next step in this cosmic chess game was about to begin.

The stars streaked by outside the viewport, Itachi's thoughts grew heavy.

"This universe... it's far more chaotic than I imagined. Answers hide within this chaos, but the path is unclear."

His mind drifted to the endless battles he had faced before and those yet to come. The Sharingan's glow dimmed slightly as exhaustion set in, but his resolve burned brighter than ever.

The ship's navigation system automatically plotted a course to a mysterious location deep in the cosmos — the domain of the Collector.

Hours later, the ship descended upon a vibrant, otherworldly planet filled with swirling mists and glittering towers that pierced the skies. Automated sentinels, sleek and silent, greeted Itachi at the landing bay, scanning his presence with cautious interest.

Inside a grand hall adorned with strange artifacts from across the galaxy, the Collector watched via a holographic display. His eyes gleamed with curiosity and hunger.

"This being... extraordinary," he murmured. "Those eyes... such rare power."

As Itachi stepped off the ship, the tension in the air thickened. Neither spoke a word, but the unspoken challenge hung between them like a sword's edge.

The Collector extended a hand, smiling slyly.

"Welcome, traveler. Perhaps we can find mutual benefit in your talents."

Itachi regarded him silently, calculating his next move. Trust was a luxury he could not afford — not here, not now.

As the chapter closed, the fate of these two powerful figures remained uncertain. Would they become allies or adversaries? The galaxy held its breath.
