Chapter 48 - Chapter 48

A/N- yes, I'm back again. Some NSFW content got my account suspended. I missed the email from Patreon like a dumbass. Got me sad and unmotivated but I'm back. Sorry for the wait

...

"Wait, wait! Why are you still running?!" Asmodeus shouted as he watched the girls heading towards another door.

He looked back and could 'feel' the B-1s and some Droidekas trying to break through the hole they made, but it would definitely take some time.

Also, most of the B-1 Droids in the room were already dead or disabled. No, for that matter, there were several of them that were hiding in the corner with their hands over their heads, trying not to be found. Others were just pretending to be 'asleep' while curled up in balls.

"Hurry up and grab some loot!"

He turned his lightsaber off to save power and had to keep maintaining the pressure of the air in his broken suit with the Force, but he could still use both hands to manually pick up some stuff.

For example, he found a bunch of small balls. Some were black, others were silvery, some also looked really fancy. From plasma grenades to thermal detonators and EMPs, they were basically in a munitions supply depot.

There were also different types of blasters, from simple pistols to giant cannons that needed to be mounted on vehicles or held up by particularly powerful droids.

"Master?"

"Jedi aren't supposed to own possessions. But it doesn't mean we have to go out of our way to avoid them." Kikha chuckled as she put the lightsaber hilt on her right hip and started looking through the different blaster rifles. Specifically, the sniper rifles that were longer and fired their shots faster than ordinary blasters.

"Deus, let me help you fix your suit." Daesha was more concerned about helping her friend than preparing for war. The main damage was on the knee and the partially melted glass helmet. She looked around the room and found what was essentially just a small sheet of metal. First she took off his helmet, then quickly welded the hole closed, before putting the helmet back on his head. As for the knee, she just sprayed it with something and a rubbery black material covered the damaged parts, fusing it together a bit haphazardly.

"Thanks… You're really fucking awesome." Asmodeus hugged her awkwardly in the bulky space suit, with the metal plate completely blocking most of his face. Fortunately, the Force exists.

"You're welcome…" Daesha hugged him back and her Lekku reached forward, rubbing against the inside of her helmet, but unfortunately couldn't touch or see his face directly.

"You can hug later. We need to find the central command bridge quickly before we're overrun." Kikha had a blaster pistol on her hip, some grenades around her belt and a blaster sniper rifle in her hands. Although Jedi rarely use such 'crude' and 'uncivilized' weapons, they also liked to improvise when necessary. At the very least, the young Jedi knight wasn't too bogged down by tradition to pass up a long-ranged weapon or two.

"I've never actually used a blaster before." On the other hand, Daesha was a little nervous. She obviously knew some common knowledge, but as far as practice went, she hadn't even 'mastered' the lightsaber yet.

"It's really not that hard. As long as they're loaded. I don't know how to reload them." Asmodeus said goodbye to his random blaster pistol from before and picked out a repeating rifle, along with a new pistol that also looked pretty simple.

"I know how to reload them, I'm just saying that I've never used them before." Daesha giggled as she found a simple rifle of her own and a few pistols just in case.

All three of them were fairly geared up by the time the droids started breaking in through that hole in the wall. Pushing their partially melted companions out of the way in order to crawl through!

Three red beams flew past and exploded on the first wave of unlucky invaders. Then Asmodeus threw a grenade at random after pressing a button he didn't understand. Well, fortunately the Force guided him not to immediately detonate the grenade.

*Rumble~!* The sound passed through the floor and could be heard through their suits, while the visual impact was also pretty alarming. The whole wall was melted out of a huge section, allowing the startled droids on the other side to aim at them and start shooting!

"Sorry!" Asmodeus chuckled as he hid behind a big metal shelf full of blasters and droid parts. Daesha didn't have the energy to complain anymore. Kikha was also conserving her strength.

"Don't worry. Even if the ship can hold hundreds of thousands of droids, there aren't 'actually' that many in this giant ball section." He smiled wryly and reached forward, grabbing a few more balls and activating them with the Force. They flew out above the shelf and landed among the crowd of droids. Some just zapped the surrounding droids, while others directly exploded into big fireballs or bright flashes of light.

The shelf melted in the meantime, so they had to rush forward while using their lightsabers to deflect a few more blaster bolts from the survivors. Even with those explosions, there were still a few Droidekas left.

"This would be so much fucking easier if I didn't have to wear a space suit!"

Asmodeus had to control his irritation, anxiety and anger to avoid breaking his own space suit with Force Lightning. It just felt so unnatural and limiting to be wearing so much 'clothing' as well. Of course, it's also debatable whether lightning would function properly in a near-vacuum in the first place.

"There's a reason why Jedi rarely wear armor or other protective equipment." Kikha stood behind them, blocking the occasional blaster bolt with her lightsaber and shooting at the distant enemies with her pistol. Even without trying, she was able to headshot a B-1 every second. Even the shields on those Droidekas were getting weak by now.

Asmodeus threw over another grenade and both of those shields were broken in a blinding flash. The battered Droidekas were then hit in their faces by two red beams, leaving molten metal and scorch marks behind as they collapsed helplessly.

"We're in!" Daesha finally finished unlocking the door and it slid open to the sides, revealing another closed door only a few meters ahead! However, the two Jedi weren't upset. Instead, they quickly rushed inside and Asmodeus followed behind them. The blast door closed and sealed shut. Locking them inside a confined space.

"This… I can't hack it! They've manually locked the door from the other side!"

Air suddenly entered the sealed room. Hence where the name 'airlock' comes from. Of course, they weren't stupid enough to take off their space suits just because they could theoretically breathe now.

"I can feel something on the other side." Asmodeus pressed his palm on the metal door and closed his eyes, "It's fucking with my senses though. Can't tell what's actually over there."

"Indeed." Kikha opened her eyes and looked to Daesha, "Do you need to rest?"

"No, Master. I'm fine." She was panting and a little exhausted, but still clear-headed for the most part. Every moment they wasted, gave their enemies a longer time to prepare.

"Cut through." Kikha slowly stabbed her lightsaber into the incredibly durable and heat-resistant durasteel door. It was much more difficult to cut through than the regular bulkhead from before. In fact, there was a real danger of them running out of energy for their lightsabers if they weren't careful.

"Yes…" Daesha also started cutting, while Asmodeus copied them. That ancient crimson blade burned brighter and hotter, but also wasted more energy. So he shortened it to only about a meter. No matter how thick the metal was, it definitely wouldn't be a meter. Sparks shot out everywhere as the material melted slowly. He was protected by that 'patch' on his helmet, but the other two needed to turn their faces away and close their eyes. Using their tentacles to keep from going blind even through their eyelids!
