Chapter 22 - Soviet Punishment of the World (Part 1)

The presidents of the three Baltic countries who sat down at the negotiation table again seemed much tougher than before. They directly chose to say no to the conditions proposed by Yanaev, indicating that they could not accept the conditions proposed by Yanaev. This was equivalent to turning them into traitors on the historical pillar of shame of the three Baltic countries.

Vytautas tactfully said that the Soviet Union should discuss with them and use a more subtle method to prevent the secession of the member states, rather than relying on naked force to make them surrender, so that the government and the people can have some explanation. Yanaev smiled and admired the interesting performance of the three leaders. The deeper the discussion, the more he realized that something was wrong. These people seemed to be stalling for time. After three hours of meaningless discussion, Yanaev could finally confirm that this group of people was indeed stalling him and waiting for reinforcements.

Just as he was about to end this meaningless discussion, Putin, with a grim look on his face, stepped forward and whispered some bad news in Yanaev's ear, "NATO is mobilizing troops. Armored groups and fleets have been detected approaching from eastern Germany, southern Finland, and the Baltic Sea border. Although Germany and Lithuania are separated by Poland, the fleets of Britain and France and the armored forces of Finland are still directly facing the territory of Estonia."

This plot was completely beyond Yanayev's expectations. In his calculations, NATO should at most issue a statement condemning the incident. He did not expect that Europe would actually have the idea of a head-on conflict with the Soviet Union. Then Yanayev suddenly thought of the top leader of the country on the other side of the Bering Strait.

Yanaev nodded to Putin, and when he turned his head to the three national leaders, they all looked secretly delighted, thinking that they had finally found a secret weapon that could make the Soviet Union afraid. A little disappointed, Yanaev did not show the angry expression they had been waiting for. Arnold even suspected that what Yanaev had just received was not the news of NATO troops approaching, but just an insignificant matter.

Yanayev smiled first, then shook his head and pointed his index finger at the three people at the negotiation table. "To be honest, I now have a new respect for all of you. You were able to make NATO mobilize its troops to put pressure on the Soviet Union in just six hours. Given the nature of those capitalists who only seek profit, you are not going to use any resources as collateral again, are you?"

Vytautas was about to interrupt when Yanayev stopped him with a gesture. He waved his hand and said, "Forget it. I don't want to hear what you want to say. We Soviets have always been straightforward in doing things. Since NATO intends to confront us head-on, I don't mind turning the three Baltic countries into another version of the Cuban Missile Crisis."

When they heard about the Cuban Missile Crisis, everyone's face changed. Yanayev stood up calmly and told Putin, "The huge red war machine is waiting for my order. Now I will show you the real steel torrent of the Soviet Union."

The Baltic Sea is now even more unpredictable than the negotiations. A fleet appeared here quietly, like a school of free fish, swaggering through this sea.

The Baltic Sea was calm, and the British and French sailors had no will to fight. They were all on the deck, basking in the sun and stretching their backs. They didn't look like a fleet in combat mode at all. Even the captain knew that this action was just a demonstration, and no one was willing to fight a real battle with the lunatics of the evil empire. Decades of exaggerated propaganda in the West had imprinted the worst side of the Soviet Union in the minds of these poor soldiers, turning it into an instinctive fear.

A destroyer and several frigates, a sparse lineup, wandered aimlessly in the Baltic Sea, like a headless fly flapping its wings back and forth, trying to find a target that could interest them a little.

Suddenly, a tsunami-like sound of water entered everyone's ears, including the captain and the sailors, who all felt an earthquake-like roar coming from beyond the horizon. It felt like a huge monster was rushing towards them from the distant deep sea, but the radar screen showed a blank.

"Hurry up and find out what's going on!" The captain frowned and anxiously gave orders to all crew members to enter an emergency alert state. These sailors, who were used to being lax, hurried to their respective posts and completed the combat state in the shortest possible time. At the same time, their eyes were fixed on the white mist sweeping up on the horizon, and the black dots that were coming from afar and gradually becoming larger in size.

When the soldiers finally saw the true appearance of the monster, the captain, who was stunned, even forgot to issue a warning at that moment. Because his mind was blank, only the appearance of a steel giant with bared fangs and claws and the strange rumors he had heard in the Caspian Sea a few years ago emerged.

Legend has it that the Soviets developed a transport vehicle that looks like both a large transport plane and a battleship. Occasionally, you can catch a glimpse of its terrifying figure rolling up huge waves on the surface of the Caspian Sea. Given its confusing identity, NATO is afraid of it and calls it the "Caspian Monster." Captain Bryden initially thought it was a lie, but he didn't expect that the way he first met the Caspian Monster would be so touching.

As for how this guy managed to appear in the Baltic Sea thousands of miles away for no reason, I'm afraid only the Commander-in-Chief of the Soviet Armed Forces knows the reason.

The huge steel monster seemed to have no interest in this small fleet. After keeping a safe distance, the Caspian monster whizzed past them. The sandfly supersonic anti-ship missiles, which were also armed to the teeth, had no interest in this group of people. Was its target the sea area behind the fleet, or did it simply disdain to fight the British? The impact of the Caspian monster on the British Navy was extraordinary, giving a loud slap in the face to those naval generals who had previously laughed at the Soviet Union for not daring to take action.

When everyone thought that the matter was over and they could breathe a sigh of relief, the real finale began. The pitiful British and French fleet had just sent away the fearsome steel monster when they encountered the oncoming Baltic Fleet. The number of destroyers alone was enough to crush the British and French fleet. The British captain Bryden, who was dwarfed by the sharp blade of fear, gritted his teeth and said to the Baltic Fleet, "This is the British fleet. In order to avoid unpleasant conflicts, please adjust your course to the east. Over."

The British and French fleets did not invade Soviet territory, so he could still speak righteously on the high seas. However, Captain Braden seemed to have forgotten that the Soviet Union was unreasonable. In their minds, the demarcation line of the sea area only existed at the maximum range of artillery and missiles.

Before he could finish his words, he was rudely interrupted by the captain of the Baltic Fleet. "Who the hell are you? A bunch of rubbish from where did you come from? Are you the Mongolian Navy? We in the Baltic Fleet have always disdained to deal with weak and pathetic creatures. The Baltic Fleet has never had the habit of giving way to others. If you are unwilling to adjust your course, then we will just ram into you!"

This fleet from hell kept its promise and rushed straight towards the British and French fleets without any intention of changing course.

Knowing that he was inferior to the enemy, Blyden was forced into a corner by the enemy's brutal and fierce response. He had no choice but to order the ship to adjust its course and not to provoke these lunatics. After adjusting the direction, the British and French fleets passed by the terrifying Soviet fleet that was like a deep-sea Leviathan at a dangerous distance. When the sailors on the decks of the British and French fleets were attracted by this imposing fleet, the enemy sailors did not even raise their eyelids and directly ignored it, as if these NATO fleets were not worthy of being their opponents.

The huge British Empire naval fleet a hundred years ago and the peak navy of the Red Soviet Union a hundred years later, history always likes to come up with some black humor that makes people laugh and cry. When Brendan looked at this huge fleet, it was as if he saw the shadow of Great Britain at its peak.

However, the red Soviet giant bear, angered by the West, holding vodka in his left hand and a sickle and hammer in his right hand, will punish the entire free world in his own way!
